On behalf of New Era I would like to begin a weekly round of of everything eRepublik related. This article is not in direct competition with anybody but to complement other well written articles out there so new players have as much information as possible.
Well It's been a chaotic week in the eUK. Congress had life breathed into it this week with our President Big Ant's plans to lower taxes. The debate has raged in PM's and on the unofficial forums about the rights and wrongs of lowering taxes, both sides putting forward passionate arguments. As of this very moment Congress has voted 11-23 against the lowering of taxes. Whether our President will look to hold another debate and proposal later this month remains to be seen.
As we speak the President of Bulgaria has approached the eUK about renewing our alliance, Bulgaria being a long, strong and trusted ally. This is already a forgone conclusion and Congress is currently voting 25-0 in favour of continuing our friendship.
Two days ago Kamoris KSC proposed Germany as a Natural Enemy. Congress was quickly asked to reject the proposal and it was rejected 7-27. What plans our Government have for the eUK later this month will be interesting especially once the training war with Belgium has run it's course.
The training war against Belgium is in full swing. If you are a player who is heavy with Gold already then please consider laying down your damage for our allies instead. These are important times for our allies and a lot of important battles are currently underway. If you are unsure where to lay your damage then please keep an eagle eye on your friends shoutbox for our Governments call to arms.
A reminder that on the 15th of December, every political party in eRepublik will have an internal election for members to choose their Party President. Obviously this does not effect you if you are not involved in a party,but if you are make sure you vote as this will dictate how your party is run for the next month and possibly who will be in a prime position to run for congress. That is if your party is in the top five in the eUK party rankings or has an agreement with a top five party to allow your party's member to run on their platform.

Do you guys have an official forum or somewhere the public can discuss things.As i understand new eras stance on the forums but you guys need to come up with an alternative or the public will be shut out of a lot of debates that isn't good
Don has set up a New Era IRC channel but I don't believe anybody has asked for our own section on the forums. It is something I will raise Spygon and see what feedback It gets.

I thought new eras stance was the forums will not be used by new era due to the "elite" controlling them.
Well currently we have New Era members using the forums. Our stance is we don't think they are ideal from our point of view but we do see others views that along with ingame messaging as well as marticles...that they do play a part in vital communication for congress and citizens.
Obviously lets not go over old ground and be positive...I'm just trying to find some middle ground so we can move forward and end all this bickering...yes that I have been a part of sadly.
I totally agree and i didn't realize that new era had changed their view on the forums.So i thought you had chosen not to use the forums but then not made alternative that looked rather stupid to me.
You guys should ask for your own part on the forum.
