The War Pushes Onward - Day Two

Day 386, 11:19 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Dishmcds

Citizens of the United Kingdom, do not fret.

Within any war, there are setbacks and miscues. This push from the French (well, their allies, as most of the French have chosen to run) was expected as our second day attacks were all spread out. The US and Sweden did very well in their runs towards territories, and the French will secure Picardy (as we somewhat expected, although we didnt think they'd manage to get the wall that high). Canada shall resume at some point, and the UK will push onward towards it's march to Paris.

Remember, this war is just as much domestic as foreign. GM's should be paying attention here. Each and every food company, gift company, and weapons firm should be hiring employees. Each worker needs to be working every day. Our factories shall remain strong, but each person needs to realize that while you're selling out your stock it's as vital to remain in production as in the sale of the items.

For instance, before the war, Ape Ammo had some 1K+ arms that it had been trying to get rid of for four months. They are now gone, and I'm sure Kumnaa and Co are very happy about that. Aurum, and it's 400+ employees are sold out, and even Empire (which raised it's prices again back to 55) has sold out.

Gift companies have followed suit. Any domestic company that isn't hiring in those sectors (and Q1 food is just as important for other reasons) is being extremely foolish in this instance, considering they're all bought out.

Moving on, remember this war is about support in numbers. ATLANTIS, overall, has more troops, more market productivity, and more coordination and support within itself than France and any PEACE country combined. None of us really expected a three day wipe out of France, although it would have been nice. We're testing ourselves as much as invading France, considering this is the first offensive action from a UK border in the history of Erepublik. Thus far, our troops have gained experience in battle, and we've been able to test out reserve capacity. Even with replacing our Reserve CO just before it started (which we're still trying to overcome), we've done well. We overcame the first challenge in Normandy, and I can assure you that the United Kingdom will be succesful in it's battle on France.

Remember, this is a war, not just a battle. The French (well, the Italian, Brazilian, and Indonesian) troops are going to put up a fight. They're going to waste all their gold, weapons, and ability to strike anywhere else in the world in defending France. Indonesia will be unable to attack anyone for some time, considering at last check most of their weapons stocks (and a fairly large chunk of even the gold Dio gave them) have been depleted.

We are going to continue our assault. Even the bunker that the French have dug themselves into will not last long. The combined troops of ATLANTIS shall be victorious, whether this takes us a bit longer or not.

So do not fret. And remember to work each and every day to keep stock up, be positive, and talk to your CO. If you do not know who your CO is, contact me personally and I'll tell you when to attack. Whatever it takes, we shall be victorious.
