Though the USA announced intentions to leave ATLANTIS we had not yet done so and now the issue would seem moot. Thus, this requires vigilance of all former ATLANTIS nations and those who were non-aligned.

Where does that leave us? Well, right now I'm watching the free world tear itself apart over these battles in Germany and it makes me cautious. Yes, cautious. Though I'm being lambasted and flamed in the media for my stance of neutrality and for that caution let me explain, briefly, why I'm feeling this way.
Why would all of PEACE be stirring the pot on this conflict? Look at the articles and you will see as many PEACE members as you do German and Swedish citizens posting inflammatory comments about these attacks on Germany today. What would be gained other than the obvious attempts to drive a wedge between the members of the ATLANTIS nations?
Well, I believe that PEACE is trying to whip us all into a frenzy to spend our fights and use our weapons and resources fighting in Germany so that they can launch an offensive against the few remaining vital interests of the non-PEACE nations. Of course, I speak of Spain's high iron region among other things.
Therefore, my neutrality is now being directed to protect our long term ally Spain and what they share with us all. The USA cannot be the world police that Romania tried to be. We don't have the firepower and we don't have the depth of resources. Thus, my orders to the US military are not to aid either side in the fight between Germany and Sweden but it has nothing to do with neutrality or either nation at this point ... it has to do with making sure that someone is watching the hen house. I would encourage all other nations to keep this in mind and watch your backsides while you feverishly get drawn into what may very well be a giant trap in fighting for Germany.
Germany has many regions and so long as the nations who have MPPs with Germany remain allied, as the eUSA has, those territories can be taken back at a later time. Consider it a best of both worlds scenario given to us by the resolve of the eUSA Congress. Our position as the eUSA remains one of neutrality ... but we also remain poised to help Germany in the event of a double cross or if any of the nations currently attacking her get too greedy.
In that same line of thought I have asked President Nithraldur to withdraw from our War Games exercises tonight so that more battles and fights aren't wasted tomorrow. Assuming that all of this silliness of trying to conquer Germany ceases we will have more War Games later in the week. Germany will not fall, of that I am certain, and I will do everything I can to ensure that Spain will not fall either.

This has been a long time coming, glad our leadership finally took action but it would of been better had they of done this sooner.

It is like that novel by Tom Clancy, Red Storm Rising. Russia, also known as the PEACE nations in this scenario attack the allied countries of NATO or ATLANTIS here. Germany was the key point in that war, and Germany must not be allowed to fall. Here we stand, all or nothing, we win or we must fall back. The time is now, eUSA stands in the midst of a peril. We must survive. May the Force be with us.

Good move, Mr. President. I agree that Germany is a trap and am heading back to South Africa ASAP. We need to stop worrying about Sweden, Germany and ATLANTIS and concern ourselves with the nations we have actual alliances with. South Africa stands beside its allies in the USA, Spain, Canada, Croatia and the UK. We support our Polish and Romanian allies as well, but are await the development of recent happenings there.

Good call on neutrality. Now nobody should attack us if they want our help. Anyone who wants to form an alliance shouldn't attack, and even PEACE shouln't attack becasue they may want to try and assimilate us or at leats start up trade.

I can live with this. Atlantis had poor organization to begin with anyway. While PEACE was like a platoon of soldiers, we were like an angry mob. Maybe we can finally move out of the A Vs. P chapter of eHistory and on to something else.

The thing is that PEACE was fighting a 6 front war on a daily basis for almost two weeks, and a 3 front war for at least two weeks before that. If Romania can fall, so can we. I've got an idea of what could be done, but it might make war games no fun going forward.
@Scrabman: we don't agree on everything, but I am glad to see the US in such able hands during difficult times. The e-world is changing second by second, and we need someone fully up to speed to ensure that the US continues to exist. We cannot afford experimenting with new leadership at this time. Letting a new president learn on the job at this time could be the end of the US.

@Gerit Britlem Jr, you are right that Scrabman is getting schooled at the expense of eUSA, but you can't deny he's learning and getting better - and that's what counts in the long run.
Initially he was afraid to make any independent decisions and was content to stay in the shadow of his predecessors and Romania, but lately he's turning into a very competent leader, who cares more about the country's interests than stroking his ego and being everyone's favorite (which was Uncle Fail's main mistake).
I'm not a PEACE official, but as an eCitizen who tries to think things over I'd like to assure all eAmericans that in the wake of ATLANTIS's dissolution PEACE has much more important issues to tend to than trying to invade a strong 50-region (!!!) nation which doesn't pose an immediate threat to PEACE members (with both multiple MPP's activated to your north and south you're hardly a threat at present).
So I applaud the decision of your leadership to not rush into hastily throwing together an anti-PEACE alliance, which will soon prove to be pointless and will fall apart wasting even more precious time.
As those of you who have read my comments in the eAmerican media will recall, I've been calling for months for the eUSA to create its own international agenda outside of the PEACE/ATLANTIS conflict and pursue it even at the cost of starting/joining a third game alliance. I'm glad to see this is finally happening.
I hope the defense of Spain goes better than other efforts I have read about in the past week.

Combine Canada and the U.S. into a super nation! Then begin lobbying Mexico for the second continental country ever! That'd provide us a united military, resources, and people (Sort of). We could also change our names to the NAL(North American League) or something. We could do what Austria and Germany tried to do before, but of course, Mexico probably wouldn't want in..Allies are fine too.
Other then outlandish claims, try to get Mexico, Canada, and maybe try to get Portugal and Spain to make up enough for a united, solid block.

We have all-out war there, with 4 regions under attack at once, I do not know how much more greedy Sweden and Poland can get. However, I am glad that a lot of US citizens help us in our defense regardless of your government's decision not to honor our alliance.
