So after some debate I have decided to run for congress. 'Why?' Is a question that is asked many times over in one's campaign, and is often answered with items said persons wish to change or alter, however never really explain why they want themselves to be elected instead of electing another who believes in the same as them.

I will take a different approach. I feel I should be elected as I offer a new perspective on the whole of eUS. I am a blank slate, willing to adopt my own beliefs based partially on what my constituents consider problems or concerns. If elected for my first term I promise to be a civil servant to the people who elected me, not to my own affairs or agendas as I have none currently. I feel I can be unbiased as I serve my constituents and can remain loyal to their support.
If one has their own agenda they should not be asking for support from those they know will not be pleased with how they will vote in congress. And I understand this as a fact. I am not here to slap a large resume or qualifications of why I should be elected, I am simply appealing to the fact that I have no agenda of my own, I am unstained, and can represent what the majority of my potential constituents would want and need.

Politics and the job of Congresspersons in general are a double edged sword, you either uphold the beliefs of your constituents and give away part of your own beliefs, or you forsaken your constituents and simply use them as a machine to get elected. I can be unbiased, and can serve those who elect me with diligence and determination. I can be the puppet of the people, even though it may sound unpleasing it is as I have written before, what I believe in and is my only biased thought; that if you are elected under certain beliefs or understandings, you should stick to them regardless how you personally may feel about them.
Will I always be this way? Honestly, unknown however more than likely not so. I will get my own feeling for things and happenings. Make friends, enemies, meet my fair share of disappointment and resentment. However, I will never ask for votes from those I can not represent unless they know of the differences we share and are willing to compromise.

I myself am a very active individual and and willing and able to learn from others who have "been there" and have definitive knowledge that can improve my representation of my potential constituents. I believe congress could use some fresh blood and get the juices flowing (or buy a blender and make juice...either/or). I am prepped and at the ready to engage in congress shall the voters feel I am a good fit for them.

If you find yourself looking for a new name to pick at the voting box, remind yourself, "MrLaMarke, he isn't horrible".
