The North Atlantic War: Day 4 Italy Enters The Fray.

Day 387, 19:07 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

As the fourth day of the war draws to a close another day of heavy fighting is about to begin. The Spanish have secured their fourth region and the United States and the United Kingdom are looking to gain ground. Sweden is likely to get back into the mix tomorrow after the resistance war ends. Italy is also increasing the fighting as they have just launched a counter offensive against Spain since Spain took a French region that bordered Italy.

In the North the United Kingdom looks to bounce back after a poor showing in Picardy yesterday in which they were just decimated. Today it looks like they might have a chance however they are still losing right now albeit they are still hanging in there. They hope that with three different battles going on today that the defenders would be spread out to thin and that they could gain their second region of France when the battle ends tomorrow. Canada has still not made a second offensive and it is rumored that they are going to drop out of the invasion of France.

Down in the South things are starting to get ugly. After the miraculous comeback by the Americans at Limousin and the Spanish conquest of the southernmost four regions of France it looked as if the South had just completely fallen into the hands of Atlantis. However Spain recently has taken a region that borders Italy and because of the Italy has attacked one of the Spanish occupied regions in southern France. As of now it looks like the Italians will knock the Spanish back a region as the Spanish are currently losing by a lot right now despite the glitch that has inverted the flags on the battle page that makes it look like Spain is dominating. If Spain is to lose here the United States would still not border Italy however if Italy were to go one more region west into Spanish occupied France or wait a few days and go up a region into soon to be Swedish occupied France they would share a border with the American occupied France.

The Americans are still looking to advance further eastward into France after their comeback in Limousin and they have just launched their third offensive into France this time in Auvergne. They are having a strong showing there with the French pushed back into the underground by 13k however the battle is still young and after what just happened at Limousine anything is possible. If the Americans were to take Auvergne then they would complete their eastward push and soon move north into Burgundy which may be the last French region designated for them to take depending on what happens with the French regions that were designated Canada. If the Canadians cede their claims the Americans are likely to pick up Center and maybe Champagne Ardenne. This will give the Americans control of Paris's southern border with the United Kingdom controlling on the northern border of Paris The plan is to let Paris remain independent.

France has fallen in the south and no their only hope is Italy who may retake a region from Spain but unfortunately for France the region would be under Italian control if it is retaken however it may allow the region of Corsica to remain independent as well. More to come soon as the situation in Europe develops.
