The New Kid on the Block


The Canadian Empire Party was once a proud party, a party that at its height had elected the longest serving eCanadian President of three months, having only existed for four. The CEP was the party that had finally broken the one party system that had dominated Canada since V1 Beta. But following the conquest of Canada to PEACE forces and our subsequent re-emergence one thing was lacking from our new Canada, the CEP. Only months later was this mistake rectified and far too late it was, the CEP was forced to play catch up, fighting an up-hill battle for a coveted top 5 party spot.


Well…It’s taken some time Canada but anyone who checks the political scene today will see that one of the old is out and the new have stepped into that top 5 party spot. Starting over the last few months and culminating in a quick growth spurt over the last week the Canadian Empire Party has seen an influx of new members thanks to a dedicated and hardworking team. It’s been a very long time since the CEP was amongst the top 5 parties in Canada and I can say that we will be very hard pressed to lose it again. We have fought hard to earn our place in Canada and we will continue to fight hard to improve our great nation through a strong citizen and CAF war machine.


This growth did not happen overnight; no it has been months of hard work and internal change from our dedicated Party President Alastar Aingleis, a more selfless man you will be hard to come by. He himself poured his own gold, bought with his own hard earned money, into the CEP to provide work for our parties members when they needed it most. He led the reforms and brought about the change we needed to get out from under past leadership. We are where we are today thanks to his work and that of the people he spurred on.


Change in the top 5 parties will bring a new and interesting perspective to the congress elections and the CEP has no intentions of sitting this one out. First of all we would like to extend our warmest thanks to the CPF for supporting us for some time and for allowing us to run our own candidates under your banner, thank you very much friends. We feel that we can only repay this kindness by offering it to others and so to anyone looking for a chance to run for Congress please take this as a gesture of good will from grateful and we will do our very best to see your name on the ballot this month under the CEP banner.


The CEP has drive, it has excited and interested members, and most of all it has momentum! Not a week ago we were sitting far below looking up at the top 5 and wondering how many weeks or months it would take to get there. A day ago we were gathered on IRC with excitement spurring us on, just 10 to go, a target we easily met and then some. The opportunities offered in joining the fastest growing party in Canada are great. Nothing beats timing in a world of opportunity and for anyone interested in making a change in their own eRepublik lives or in taking it further and helping make a bigger change to Canada the time is now!
