The Journal – 2012 The Americas Growth Statistics
This is the second article in a four part series recording the active growth statistics of 2012 from around the World. In my last article we looked at Europe and a sharp 20% decline in population, you can find that piece here. I would appreciate as many votes and shouts as you can spare, remaining very grateful for any subscribers. Thank you!

In this article I will be observing the growth rate of active citizens across The Americas. Data collection was carried out by recording the number of votes in each nation’s Presidential elections throughout the year. If you would like a copy of the spread sheet I used containing this data feel free to PM me. The combined growth rate for the Americas was 45% a great figure. Only 2 of the 12 countries surveyed began December 2012 with less active citizens than in January 2012. As you will see the rest experienced growth with some as high as 400%!

Author's Analysis.
Year round the Americas have experienced excellent growth. Effective Baby Booms in Chile, Argentina and Mexico have added roughly 2500 new players to the continent and brought with them a new diversity to geopolitics in South America. Of course the USA’s immigration policy has contributed a lot to her own population growth. Acquiring full production bonuses lead to an open door policy toward her allies which has unfortunately contributed to a large scale PTO attempt against the nation. Growth continued throughout the summer with a slight drop of 0.99% of August’s total population, compared with the drop Europe suffered during the summer this is hardly significant. Closing in December the Americas had an addition 3080 active players within their nations!

Below are the growth rates of each American nation.

Points of note.
• Brazil and Canada are the only countries to experience negative annual growth
• Peru recorded the biggest percentage gain with an 417% increase in their population
• Chile recorded the highest number of citizens gained amounting to 1172

I hoped you enjoyed this article. In the next issue I will be looking at Asia and the Oceania.
