The Interview Segment

Day 1,072, 20:14 Published in USA USA by Heather Fuchs

Back by popular demand, the interview segment is a staple of military reporting. It’s also a nice way for me to get an article out without having to be all that creative. These interviews are often with high-ranking officer-types, but today I’ve decided that it would be nice to hear from someone who hasn’t been around forever, someone who recently started their military career and who can give a fresh perspective on eUS Military life.

Our interviewee today is Private npaidi, a member of Charlie Company, Platoon 6, recently transferred from Platoon 3 when it combined with C6 so CCO Dimension could get me out of his officer corps. He is a graduate of the eUS Training Corps, having cut his teeth in the 121st Training Platoon and then been billeted in the 302nd after graduation until transferring to the Mobile Infantry July 7th, 2010.

Why’d you choose the Mobile Infantry?
I wanted to gain exposure to the game and travel different countries to fight wars...and based on my skill I decided MI would be best for me.

How has your experience been thus far?
Awesome experience till now. We travelled to a lot of countries before the new mpp rule... we are almost every time supplied with weapons and food and I was very fortunate to interact with a lot of big players.

What’s your favorite thing about the MI?
The organization in MI, supply of weapons and food.

Complete the following: jankems : banana :: GoalieBCSC : ______________?
hmm...u suggest an answer for this one..

The correct answer is pie. MI is all about the pie.

eRepublik V2: disaster, or just minor inconvenience?

I love this game however it is… but v2 is more a minor inconvenience to me.

Most and least favorite things about eRepublik?
My least favourite is the excess use of RL money. Most favourite is the social network aspect of the game. You need to interact with a lot of people to understand and enjoy the game - that’s the best part.

So you would argue that IRC makes the game, then?
Yes..IRC is the most important thing in this game...I would recommend that everyone join the IRC channels.

/me hands npaidi 1 gold in payment for that response
Okay, favorite officer from your eMilitary career, and why?

[TC]CPT_HajimeHitoshi.. he was the one who helped me out of TC and explained a lot about the game mechanics.
You could also say Jankems as my other favourite...I just love the way he commands the military....

What did you think of President Lantrip’s “Operation Monkey Business”?
I loved OMB simply because it helped me enjoy the game more than ever and helped me boost my skills. I hope there are more OMB weeks organized and next time I would like to volunteer for it.

Tastes great, or less filling?
Tastes great.

Okay, last question: What would you say to someone starting this game about joining the eUS Military?
The eUS Military is one of the most well organized groups in erepublik. Join the eUS military and enjoy the game to the max.

Here’s a great big Battle Cry thanks for your time.
Great. My pleasure.

There you have it, folks. Even the privates love the military, and MI privates most of all. Especially when they’re given *cough* bribes*cough* the opportunity to speak their minds.

Join the eUS Military! Fight for your country! Make friends! Get fed and armed! And maybe even pick up some bribes from your officers!

If your rank is at least Lieutenant and you have at least Expert level in one weapon, you too could be a member of the Mobile Infantry!!!

If not, then get your military career started in the Training Corps!
