The Great Poets

Mirza Ghalib said,

Like a child’s sport it is,
the world in front of me…
From each sunlight to the moonlight,
the show happens in front of me.

Desert buries self in dust,
under an influence of me.
Ocean rubs her head in sand
in front of me…

Avoid inquiring, what happened
during your absence to me…
Just feel – how effervescent
you are… in front of me.

My steadfastness holds me,
as wanderlust seduces me…
Behind me is an anchor,
stands a muse in front of me…

Though embrace is lethargic,
eyes still have the spirit.
Let the wine of two worlds,
shower her charms in front of me.

– Dedicated to a playground – the stage of innocent mischievousness – this world happens to be.

Hazaaron khwahishen aisi ke har khwahish pe dam nikle
Bohat niklay mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle’

Translate😛 Thousands of desires, each worth dying for…
many of them I have realized…yet I yearn for more…

People who have no hold over their process of thinking are likely to be ruined by liberty of thought. If thought is immature, liberty of thought becomes a method of converting men into animals.

Muhammad Iqbal

So then we have the liberty of thought, lets use it, I invite all of you to a Poetry contest, please don't refrain from participating.

You can send your poems to me via PM, they may be in Urdu or English, and if I even get a sniff of plagiarism, I swear I will call upon Satan's goat to give you a haircut every single day... so don't.

The top three will get all the endorsements from this article and the actual voting article which will be published shortly after this one disappears from the News board.

I wish you luck, may your creative thoughts come to life, and dwell in others creations as well.

Thanks,

Dingorider
