The election times are coming again. In this article we'll talk about the members who are running, a short introduction of what GLD is and what we stand for.
Who are we?
We are the Green Liberal Democrats. The party was founded half June this year. While we are still a relatively new party, we have gained a lot experience in a short period of time. Last mandate, we have participated in the government for the second time. Amongst our congress candidates we have ambassadors, ministers, secretaries, army members, but also fairly new players of the game. After all, our party has always been filled with new and old members, all unique individuals from all over the world. We are a party that stands for government transparency, freedom of enterprise, fair taxes and wages for both workers and company owners, and good international relations.
Government Transparency: Transparency is needed for the people to know what's going on. The government task is to inform the citizens what's going on in their country, so that people can base an opinion on what's happening. This is the base of a good democracy.
Freedom of enterprise: We as a party are for less interference of the state. The state only needs to have a few companies for the army and for beginners to train. We hope to minimize state interference.
Fair taxes and wages for both workers and company owners: The taxes and wages needs to be balanced out. We like to find fair taxes and wages which benefits both the company owners and the workers. We also hope to achieve good communication between the workers and company owners.
Good International Relations: We, the GLD, hope to maintain good relationships with other countries, in a military, but also a economical and social perspective. We hope to achieve these relationships not only with countries within our alliance, but with countries all over the world.
Who is running?
Northern Netherlands
- Yasupa
Yasupa is one of GLD's newest members, but has always been active in politics since he started. Yasupa is also an ambassador in Spain!

- Steingrimur Illugi
Steingrimur is one of GLD's most active members and has been our party president for almost 3 months now. He has been in congress last mandate and took over the Minister of Home Affairs job, he is now going for his second mandate in congress!

- Aethegwyn
Aethegwyn has been in congress one time before and has been active in a lot of elections. We do not know much about this man.
Eastern Netherlands
- Gromenauer_46
Gromenauer is one of GLD's longest active members. He has been very active in the Belgian Affairs. While he has never been in congress, he has tried some times before.
Southern Netherlands
- Miro86
Miro86 is a fairly new member of the GLD, but he has proven to be very active. Already he has taken on the job of Ambassador for Lithuania. With a lot of refreshing ideas he is trying for his first time in congress.

Western Netherlands
- Hugo McFartalot
Hugo McFartalot is by far the most experienced congressman of these candidates, with 4 mandates already. Fighting for Belgium last month, Hugo has just returned after UK's victory and is now running for the first time in Western Netherlands.
- Floor89
Floor89 is one of the new members in our party and is going for congress for the first time.
Wallonia
- Matt Johnson
Matt Johnson is one of the most experienced members of the party. As ambassador of Poland, the biggest eCountry, and as a congressman one time before Matt tried his best for the country, and he's looking to do this again.

- Refl3x
Refl3x rejoined the GLD again after returning from India. While he might not be known very well on the political front, with no congress experiences, you might know him as the eSheet developer. He is now looking for his first mandate in congress.
Lastly, the GLD wants to wish you all a merry Christmas. Let us not forget the true Christmas spirit. Let us drop down the mud and be nice to each other, for politics is something we make together. So GLD wishes all the other parties the best of luck on the elections, and hopes this will be a fun, fair, Christmassy election.
