The Battle of Britain has undergone some changes in the past 24 hours, including the most recent fall of South East of England, which will bring London within reach for EDEN fighters. Even more notable is the elimination of eFrance earlier in the day, after a massive military assault on Upper Normandy reversed a high wall in the battle’s closing minutes.

The front on Day 809, before eNorway swapped into the eUK

USA-UK
After eUK Prime Minister Dishmcds retreated the North West of England on Day 808, no territories changed hands between these two English-speaking rivals. However, West Midlands, East Midlands, and the South East of England came under fire on Day 809, with the eUS winning at SE of England for the first time in four tries on Day 810, but losing at the other two fronts. Phoenix preoccupations in the ePeru-eBrazil fight and other affairs in eFrance (below) may explain the sudden change of momentum in this theater of the Battle of Britain.

If the two Midlands regions eventually fall, eUK PM Dishmcds will be limited in his options of retreating to consolidate his positions or catch EDEN off-guard and attempt a counterattack. It is clear that any attack from the SE of England against London will be fiercely combatted, but if the Phoenix is not careful, an EDEN victory in the East Midlands will put the East of England under fire. This is notable primarily because the East of England is the other region bordering London, and as a result, could imply a possible two-front assault on London if and when EDEN chose to make the fateful assault on the eUK's capital.

More significant is the overtime victory the eUS and EDEN received in an intense battle for SE England. The victory puts London in immediate striking distance, although it is likely that the first attack will be delayed as the militaries of both sides look to recover.

Norway-UK
eNorway used their recent declaration of war on eCanada to region swap into Scotland and bring its powerful mutual protection pacts (MPPs) to the front lines in Great Britain. From Scotland, eNorway launched an attack on Northern Ireland in Day 809, which the eUK also retreated given the region's minimal strategic value and greater need for soldiers elsewhere. eNorway has reached its point of furthest advance in the eUK war, as adjacent regions are controlled by the eUS and eSweden.

eFrance has fallen, and failed to resurrect
by losing in all 6 RWs fought in the circled regions

Conquest of France and Resistance Wars
As recent developments in eFrance reduced the country to one region, Upper Normandy, Phoenix started a series of resistance wars (RW) in eSpanish France. This is likely part of the reason for the changing state of the battle in Great Britain, as several eUK military elites have taken on deceptive avatars and made Spanish-language shouts to creatively attempt to get eSpanish two-clickers to side with the resistance. Six resistance wars were commenced after the eUS strike on Upper Normandy-- and therefore closed after the eUS victory there-- in
- Picardy
- Loire Valley
- Pays de la Loire
- Limousin
- North Calais, and
- Burgundy
All 6 of the RWs closed with walls over 100,000, denying eFrance the chance to reappear on the map before server reset. For the time being, eFrance has been bid "au revoir," but the eFrench could mount RWs in the coming days from eSpanish, ePolish, or eUSA hospital regions. The eFrench people have fought valiantly and the New World can expect them to continue to do so.

Closing, and Public Service Announcement
EDEN has received a huge benefit by successfully erasing eFrance’s list of 11 MPPs, and is now able to divert more resources to the anticipated Battle for London. The combination of eSpanish and ePolish occupation of France, along with some eUS presence in the northern part of the country, could make an organized resistance increasingly difficult for eFrance. Phoenix may withdraw their support as the war in France has, for now, been lost and is not as beneficial to Phoenix to support eFrance at EDEN’s expense. eFrance may be on their own or may be relegated to seeking peace with the eSpanish and allies.

The Public Service Announcement is to inform everyone that President Josh Frost has appointed me to serve as the Secretary of Media in the eUS Government. I have received the Press Room organization, so you can expect updates from the White House via the Briefing Room, along with the President's paper when he is able to write. I encourage you to subscribe to this official eUS Government newspaper, as I oversee and work with Mr. Hyphenated, Necrosis, and Joe Newton to keep the eUS citizenry and the New World informed; all this aside, the Stars and Stripes Journal will maintain its format and remains an independent newspaper, so I hope you stick around for more wartime news.

God Bless America,

Lt. Scheisskopf
