4 years of erepublik, and I am almost 4 here, so I was remembering some stuff... lot of people shotued today how we had lot of epic battles, well I must say this guys are noobs...

Rhone Alpes - Poland x Slovenia + 6 mpps
That was an epíc battle, v1. Why it was epic? Well lot of gold was spent there? surely, BUT by that time countries actually manage to produce some gold (hmm produce sounds botish, lets say earn) and leaders had to know and manage their soldiers properly, even train them so they wouldnt be noobs hitting anywhere, you had few hits a day, but it was still good.
ps: somehow france is place for epic battles of some ally against their invader.
planning a surprise attack with lot of distractions and win, or defend a region after receiving a surprise attack and having lot of disctractions for your 2clicks? What was the feeling?Also spending hours preparing people to fight for 3 minutes
Now lets get for exmple the epic battle of Aquitaine, in this v3/v4/v5/vwut?
That is the real evolution of erepublik, I started to play it as an economical-political simulator and now it is just a euro factory for erepublik admins, what if the financial crisis REALLY goes bad?
none ask for v1 anymore, none ask for wps limit, none ask for nothing. all are just a bunch of lazy pets of plato. VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

A 'epic battle' every day, this is how the system works now. In V1 countries spent ~5-10K gold on a LK battle, now they are spending fe w thousands every day.

yeah, but in v1 the game ws a simulator, ppl "made" that gold, some with economic skills, other with alchemy, but still.
now game is jut a moneymaker, and admins have no shame i nadmit it, specially when they ask u to stop reporting ppl who buy gold xD

oh god antonio, rhone alps was horrific. I was puking all day and those bastards yelled at me to help them send 12k gold out for tanking. we would've won had we had spent around 2-3k moar, however we decided to be jewish.
(poland had ~70k g then : ))

as i said vingaer, some made gold, some earn it =p
I surely miss that time. I liked the refresh contests from back in the day (NoB RW, Serbian attack on USA before they clicked on attack LK), and just the fact that you actually waited for a whole day in order to fight for 5 times, and then watch the battle being extended for 45 mins due to awesomeness.

Todays 'epic battles' are training battles in comparison with Rhone-Alps

antonio, we have printed shtload of currency and sold it all to the huns, who thought we wouldn't have lowered down the value of it -- that plus high wood plus mixliards of players (the non-bot ones, because every sane multi guy knows how to avoid paying taxes) were the sources of our wealth ;p. without rhone alps, we started being poor, so the supah botnet you claim we had any control of must have been damaged somehow.

well we can always move to the one liners about ones who can fight in a battle and ones who can only ask russia/turkey fro ddos when they are about to lose ;p

we can vingaer, we can always debate about who make gold and who earn it.
we can move to the liners also about 500 "people" sitting in hospital.
we can also move to the liners of a CP officially supporting hacking and threatening people with it.
we can move to many lines, even the one about DDoS, when people get a specific ip, with the help of some mod, to ddos it and avoid a quick attack.
it's true, v1 was by far more epic.. i personally think this v4 erep we're on right now would've been much better if the wellness pack is limited.
v1 = One really smart guy can beat 10 rich people
now = 1 rich guy can destroy an entire country with 10 smart people
