Hello America,

So as everyone knows we just had a revolution and the dictator is gone, oh yippee Democracy wins again. Now I could go over all the points about why I think the dictatorship is a good thing and doesn’t actually change anything as long as our CP is the the dictator, but we have all seen that a thousand times already and most of us already have our minds set on what we want.



The thing that I have seen for most of this revolution is that players are saying they play this game, not the eUS Forums. Now that makes sense we all signed up to play eRep, we didn’t know there was going to be this whole meta part of the game when we started playing this game. So we should cast away the forums and start just communicating in the game, it has a lot of features for us to do that now, messages, shouts, friend request, MU chat rooms, and news articles. Any player that really needs to know anything can get the information they want in the game. So players can socialize and be taught a lot of things with the mechanics in the game.

That is all focusing on just one player though, lets look at the government aspect of things. Game mechanics don’t really offer the right tools for a government to communicate amongst itself and work in an efficient manner. The only way for the CP to have its daily PDB in this game would be a message with all the members of his cabinet, ok thats possible since you can do a message with 30 people enough for the cabinet. But the CP has more than just that everyday, there are NSC, foreign affair, media team messages, alliance messages, SCI things, and all the random messages the CP gets already. It would be easy for the CP to start missing things just because of all the messages he will keep getting that it will be easy to overlook things, and could miss something of importance because of it. But this all can still be done in game, it is possible just ask for the CP and his team to always be doing their best and not to fall behind, which is reasonable to ask out of a CP.



Now the body of government that just has no way of working in this game properly is congress. How can congress have discussions with itself and not have any outsider interference or information leaked out. I know we can do messages but that's only 30 people in 1 message and with 62 congress members that's 3 messages, lets not forget that we should include the SoH, deputy SoH, Whips, The CP, The VP, all of the cabinet heads, and advisors should be included in every message so they can communicate with congress so that's going to be about 5 or 6 separate messages, how do you have any form of discussion with that option.

The other argument I see is congress shouldn’t deal with things that game mechanics don’t deal with. Blacklist and censure are the go to thing here. I see what they mean here, blacklist means nothing if you don’t get go onto the Forums so why should congress even deal with that. Well technically Ajay has done nothing wrong game mechanically(other than multis) so we should accept him. Thats the logic that is used when you say blacklisting for people for doing things game mechanics allows is stupid.


The loves of my life

I have heard that congress shouldn’t be on the eUS forums. I don’t really understand this one where else should it be. I don’t want to see congress being hosted on a party forum. I hear they need their own forums and what will that do, the people that have access to congress that you can’t stand will just have access their as well. There just isn’t a good suggestion to where else they should be.

Now the last reason I hear for why people don’t like the forums is that its just full of “trolls” and that it keeps me away. Back when I first started playing back in early 2011 the eUS military taught people that and told us to avoid it, it would a couple years before I became active on it and realized its not bad but actually a good place to be just don’t act like an idiot and people are actually nice to you, I know what a surprise. If you have such a problem with trolls, I’ll give you some advice just get off the computer, the internet is full of trolls.
