Back in the Beta days, without an API and seemingly without much financial backing from anyone, a stock exchange was but a pipe dream. Today, on March 24, 2010 I am here to tell you it is that no more. Thanks to AidenAstrup, Max McFarland 2 and the US Government, ERX has been reborn and is available starting today.
ERX allows any citizen to trade shares 24/7 and take their company public by listing their Org - no matter how large or small. Listed companies can be certified ("audited"), for free, by the SEC to ensure the legitimacy of their stated asset values. Backed by the largest bank in eRepublik (t'jelle bank with 11,000+ Gold in assets) and the US Federal Reserve, this project will lay the groundwork for an improved, more complex & rewarding financial system in eRepublik:

Is it possible to list single companies only, instead of orgs?
No, each user can list only one corporate offering, so it's arranged as orgs.

Perhaps a .1% charge if you cancel an order? It still takes work to move the money around and we cant have people changing their minds every two seconds.

So now there are suddenly two stock exchnages? This one and erepx.com?
- How are calculated the dividends and how often are they paid to the shareholders?
- What happens to the share value if the CEO decides to invest his own money in a company?
- How can you prove a fraud? As you know screeshots or any material can be manipulated.
- Are you going to expand your site with history activity data as dividends history, company profile page, reputation, balance sheets, etc..?
- Are you going to improve your FAQs with these and many more questions some people may be asking?

When u say TOTAL SHARES, does it include the promoter's shares also or only those shares which as listed for public investing?
If latter is true, than how can i know how much % is promoter holding up other than the listed shares?

I think it is. You can simply transfer shares from your corporate entity to people, so if all your shareholders sign up, you can send them the appropriate number of shares and you are all set.
Aronfly, from what I see:
1. This is at the discretion of the person whose account is tied to the corporate entity. You will just have to deposit gold in and then click on a button "Pay Dividends." I believe it will then distribute an equal amount per share to all shareholders. Big Brother should probably confirm though as I have not tested this yet.
2. You can issue more shares and transfer them to yourself. I already tested this and issued shares 3 times and transfered them to myself. This is as if there is a secondary offering.
3. This bugs me, too. But if you ask me, it should be the responsibility of the investor to do their due diligence before investing their money. For example, I would not invest in a lot of the companies appearing here: <a href="http://erepublik.ws/erx/view.php" target="_blank">http://erepublik.ws/erx/view.php</a> I would, however invest in eUS Treasury Bonds, t'jelle Bank, Jaguaros' bank, my own corporation and a few others I trust.
4. It already has history and company profile pages. Something like a reputation should be incorporated in price/volume data for a company's stock. (then again you might have some successful Ponzi scheme. But you have them in RL, too. Madoff, anyone?)

So you say that an org sells shares at a fixed price, gaining a lot of money. It may pay dividends to the shareholders, BUT, if it doesn't pay, there's no punishment for him. More, the price of it's actions are dropping and it may buy them back at almost 0 price.
Is this true?
*ERX is a "good" thing because it will attract gold from a lot of guys who will quit playing (I'm saying "good" because the StockExchange is one of the reasons that low lvl players will quit the game, not having real profit from the market).

yes there are 2 stock exchanges (or will be soon)
ERX has been in development for 2 years and EREPX for 1 month, so its no surprise they were able to launch before us, however, we think that the erepx has some really great stuff to offer and don't spend all of your gold in one place.

How do i remove stocks? Also, how do i undo my listing of this org. I do not want to be public????
Somehow this doesnt work, when i click "buy shares" i come to the "place order" page. When im writing my orders in, nothing happens?
Am i the only one with this problem?
having alot of issues it wont let me log into my org account and when i try to register a personal account it says "You have already registered"

maybe you wont trust corporations in the list, however for example for turkish players, foreign corpoations didnt get trust of e-turkish citizens. So which you wont trust for example my shares, could get turkish player's sympathy and increase its value
So your site was not actually ready to go but you opened it anyway and now you have to take away all the trading that you where so proud of being able to provide? why would anyone do that anyway?

you guys need to add a recover lost username/password function and either add a email portion to the registration or since you are using API just have the ERX automatically link to the email address used to register the eRep account then it'll be other peoples fault for not keeping their email up to date

On several forums in various country has been debated the idea of "kneeling" a country from the economic point of view which would make it an easy pray afterward. Most of people have have concurred that it is a plausible plan nevertheless, there was a major setback - the obscene amount of money required for such a plan. It seems that the setback has been overcome with this Stock Exchange. Or you naively believe that US Government, US Federal Reserve and the biggest american bank have invested money is this plan just for the fun of it?
Not to mention another thing, there's a 1% per-trade fee. Over a day that could mean tens, maybe hundreds of gold. Over a month thousand of golds. In US Government pockets. Which could easily be use to start a war. Even against your own country, i.e. YOU finance/help/pay USA to wage a war against your own country.
But as long your pockets are filled with gold words such as country or patriot lose their meaning. Greed is however, a stronger word.

You can't expect them to go through all the trouble of coding and implementing this without some sort of operation fee. To say that it's a BS scam just because there are really small, negligible fees is ignorant.
something is not sound right. i have to put my username and password for erepublik on another site. thanks, no. until i see an erepublic insider who says that link is legitimate and can be used safe, i will not risk me accounts. even if i think i read about big brother and he is trustworthy i will not trust this site.
