I find this world more appealing than anything the real world can throw my way.

It is surprising, how the will to live in reality can dwindle away to nothing, leaving us fleeing for a computer generated world of war and work. Every day life gets just that little bit harder, little bit colder, a little more expensive. I find myself reaching for the pill bottle just so I can sleep away my troubles, and struggling to fight the urge not to wake up when the sun is shining. Work is hard and continuous, life is boring.

Here I can procrastinate. Here every man has the ability to step up to the mark, stand for congress, lead a war. They say every man is equal. They say every man has the ability and the right to become exactly what they want to be.

When I first signed up to Erepublik, I didn't understand. Why play a game of real life when you are already living it? But now I do. Obviously I have been driven quite insane.
