The Catalyst

Communism, the thing feared most by Americans, in the real world that at least. With the mere utterance of Communism, people cover their children's ears, grab onto their possessions and hope for the best. Recently, I learned a real life lesson on this subject in Erepublik.

Just a couple days ago, I looked around and saw the Socialist Freedom Party, and decided to give it a look. It interested me, so I joined the party, and one of their communes.

If your not aware of what this Erepublik commune is, it is basically where you get paid minimum wage by your employer, the Socialist Freedom Party. In return for working minimum wage, you are given a food to stay alive, and on occasion, weapons to fight.

The first time I worked in one of these communes, it hit me. To me, from that point on, Communism sucked. I thought to myself, it would be nearly impossible for me to get more gold to own, let alone maintain, my own company/organization.

Now, I am not out here posting this to bash the SFP because I truly believe its a good party and they have some great citizens in it with awesome spirit. This article as more to explain how a in game event changed my real life ideology.

But I still like Capitalistic Socialism.
