Beste burgers der eNederlanden,

Laat ik beginnen met mijn dank en waardering uit te spreken voor het onverwacht hoge aantal steunbetuigingen op mijn vorige artikel. Wij zijn niet de regering die het daarom te doen is, maar het steunt ons wel in het vertrouwen dat velen van U dit spel spelen met dezelfde intentie als wij: strategisch en creatief alle opties en kansen benutten in het belang van ons land. De uitdaging daarin is voor nieuwere spelers misschien lastig te vatten, en laten we duidelijk zijn: zij zijn de toekomst van ons land. De vraag is alleen of de media hierop het echte antwoord bieden.

Mijn focus voor de komende maand zal eerder liggen op ons forum en samenwerking met alle MU’s en politieke partijen om via deze kanalen de grote uitdagingen waar we voor staan voor allen inzichtelijk te maken. De oplossingen kunnen we in veel gevallen zelfs niet in de media bespreken, het zou ons strategisch op achterstand kunnen stellen.



Fun in het spel komt terug als we weer kunnen meespelen, en dat willen we (sneller) bereiken met de volgende speerpunten:

Financiën: introductie van een onafhankelijk CPB
Zoals in het vorige artikel uitgelegd, gaat alle aandacht op dit moment uit naar onze financiële heropbouw. MoF zal voor langere tijd een cruciale rol blijven spelen, en het mag duidelijk zijn dat alles valt of staat met Weekstrom. We moeten ervoor waken dat hij teveel zaken alleen moet doen. Om onder meer de strategische lijnen die hij uitzet door te rekenen in meerdere scenario’s, hopen we de komende termijn een Centraal Plan Bureau op te kunnen starten. Een onafhankelijke groep spelers met financiële of economische achtergrond, die overigens door elke minister of congreslid kan worden benaderd.

Buitenlandse Zaken: ambassades er meer bij betrekken
Het zal niemand ontgaan zijn dat er heel veel comments van buitenlandse CP’s en spelers zijn geplaatst op het laatste artikel. Dat geeft aan dat we wel degelijk in beeld zijn als klein land, en hoe sterk de relaties zijn die we internationaal hebben opgebouwd. Wij zullen onze bondgenoten en internationale vrienden in de toekomst nog hard nodig hebben, en dit spel hangt van sociale netwerken aan elkaar. Daarom willen we onder meer ook de ambassades nog meer betrekken bij het uitbouwen van onze netwerken, en hiervoor ook jongere spelers interesseren.



Binnenlandse Zaken: focus op ons forum
Ons nationale forum is de plek waar we vrij kunnen spreken als burgers onder elkaar. Die waarde mogen we niet onderschatten. Hier kunnen we juist de uitdagingen waar we voor staan met elkaar delen. Helaas weten we allemaal dat maar een klein deel van onze bevolking ons forum daadwerkelijk bezoekt. Het forum moet toegankelijker worden en worden gepromoot. Dit willen we onderbrengen bij het ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken. Niet om deze termijn op te lossen, maar om een basis te leggen die kan worden uitgebouwd.

Defensie: de staatscommune kostendekkend krijgen
Hoewel we de supplies al hebben teruggebracht, en mensen er nu voor werken, heeft de introductie van Q7 wapens ons voor een bijna onmogelijke uitdaging gesteld. Voor Q7 wapens zijn extreem veel raws nodig: dit maakt de productiekosten erg hoog, versterkt door de grote vraag naar raws die de raw prijs hoog houdt. Toch kunnen we - om internationaal mee te blijven spelen - niet anders dan meegaan. Misschien wel de grootste uitdaging van de komende termijn, maar wij willen alle workers minimaal de dubbele waarde van het hoogste salaris bieden, en hen de kans bieden met hoge Q wapens zo vaak mogelijk hun DO te halen om maximaal te ranken.

Coaching: meer via forum en samenwerking met MU’s en politieke partijen
We hebben verschillende strategieën uitgetest in afgelopen termijnen om nieuwe spelers via forum, IRC en ingame te bereiken. De media blijven belangrijk, om spelers te benaderen die niet op forum of IRC actief zijn. Maar de media zijn beperkt, zelfs cruciale artikelen worden vaak maar door enkelen gevote. Coaching moet zeker blijven publiceren, maar we moeten ook meer informatie overzichtelijk aanbieden (forum) en nog meer inzetten op de netwerken die Militaire Units en politieke partijen bieden. Een Nationale Bibliotheek juichen wij in deze context overigens van harte toe.



Recruitment en Informatie: doorgaan op de ingeslagen weg
Zowel op het ministerie van Recruitment als het ministerie van Informatie hebben we alle vertrouwen in de ingeslagen weg en de mensen die zich hierop inzetten. MoI zal artikelen blijven uitbrengen om U op de hoogte te houden van de forum medailles die zijn uitgekeerd, activiteiten en artikelen van de ministeries en algemene informatie van de overheid die voor elke eNederlander belangrijk is en door alle ogen gelezen mag worden. Tweetalig, en gericht op het versterken van onze community.

Evenementen: spelers helpen die het zelf leuk willen maken
Het zou naïef zijn - juist nu we weinig activiteit kunnen bieden op het slagveld - de waarde niet in te zien van contests, fundraisers, fun topics op forum en artikelen die onze community actief houden. We kunnen hier om begrijpelijke redenen echter geen budget voor vrijmaken en willen ook de huidige ministeries hier niet mee belasten. Wij zien het liefst dat deze initiatieven uit de bevolking zelf komen, en om dat te stimuleren staan we ervoor open hier een overheidsfunctie voor in het leven te roepen. Met een uitstekende kandidaat voor ogen...

Maar de echte fun? Die komt pas terug als we weer voldoende in kas hebben om wat te bereiken. Laten we met zijn allen nu de strategische uitdaging aangaan om creatief mee te denken over onze opties, en ook de nieuwe spelers hierin te betrekken. Er ligt werk genoeg - en iedereen heeft zijn eigen kwaliteiten om bij te dragen aan ons mooie eNederland.

Beste burgers der eNederlanden,

Allow me to start with expressing my gratitude and appreciation for the unexpected high amount of support I received on my previous article. As a government this is not what we are doing it for, but it confirms our confidence that many of you play this game with the same intention as ours: to take advantage of all options and opportunities, both strategically and creatively, in the interest of our country. The challenge in this however may be somewhat hard to grasp for newer players, and let’s be clear about this: they hold the future of our country. But the question is, if the answer to this lies in media coverage.

My focus for the next Month would rather be on our forum and cooperation with all MU’s and political parties using these channels to make the big challenges we are facing comprehensible to all. For the solutions, it would even be impossible to discuss them in the media, as it might cause a strategic disadvantage.



Fun in the game will return, once we are able to fully engage again, and we aim to achieve this (sooner) with the following spear points:

Finances: introduction of an independent CPB
As explained in the previous article, our full attention is on financial reconstruction. MoF will play a crucial part for a long time, and it may be clear that most of it comes down to Weekstrom. We must be careful that he does not have too much to take care of all by himself. To (among others) calculate the strategic lines he comes up with into several scenarios, we hope to start up a Central Planning Bureau in the next term. An independent group of players with a background in finance or economics, who by the way could be addressed by any Minister or Congress member.

Foreign Affairs: get embassies more involved
No one will have missed the huge amount of comments coming from foreign CP’s and players on the previous article. This shows that, as a small country, we are certainly visible and how strong the relations we have built up internationally. In the future we will very much need our allies and international friends, and this game is built on social networks. That’s why, among others, we want to get our embassies even more involved in extending and enforcing our networks, and try to interest new players for these jobs as well.



Home Affairs: focus on our forum
Our national forum is the place where we can speak freely as citizens amongst each other. The value of that is not to be underestimated. This is the place to share the challenges we are facing. Unfortunately we are all aware that only a small part of our population does in fact visit our forum. The forum must become easier accessible and it must be promoted. We would like to put the Ministry of Home Affairs in charge of this. Not to solve it in the upcoming term, but to build the foundation we can start building on.

Defense: get the State commune to become cost neutral
Though we already cut on supplies,and people have to work for it now, the introduction of Q7 weapons has put us for an almost impossible challenge. For Q7 weapons extremely much raws are neede😛 this makes production costs very high, amplified by the large demand for raws that keeps the raw price up. Still we cannot afford not to go along, in order to keep up internationally. This may be the biggest challenge in the upcoming term, but we strive to give workers at least twice the value of the highest salary, while offering the chance to fight with high Q weapons and do their DO as often as possible, for maximum ranking.

Coaching: more via forum and cooperation with MU’s and political parties
In past terms, we have tested several strategies to contact new players via forum, IRC and ingame. The media remain important, to reach players who are not active on forum or the IRC. But the media have their restrictions, even crucial articles are often voted on by few. Coaching should remain publishing articles, but we must also offer more information with better oversight in one place (forum) as well as take advantage of the networks Military Units and political parties can offer. A National Library would be applauded by us in this regard.



Recruitment and Information: continue on the same road
For both the Ministery of Recruitment as well as the Ministry of Information we have full confidence in the road(s) taken and the people in charge. MoI will keep publishing articles to inform You about forum medals handed out, activities and published articles by our ministries and general government information that is important for all citizens of the eNetherlands and can be read by all eyes. Bilingual, and focused on reinforcing our community.

Events: help players making it fun for themselves
It would be naive - especially now that we cannot offer major activities in the battlefield - to not see the added value of contests, fundraisers, fun topics on forum and articles that keep our community active. For understandable reasons we cannot free budget for this and we also do not want to burden the existing ministries with this. We would prefer to see this kind of initiatives coming from the people, and to stimulate this we are open to the idea of creating a government position for this. With an excellent candidate in mind...

But the real fun? That will return once we will have enough reserves to achieve anything. Let’s all now take on the the strategic challenge to think together creatively about our options, en involve new players in this too. There is plenty of work at hand - and everyone has to offer something to contribute to our beautiful eNetherlands.
