The Battle of the Year! [Update}

So in a D3 Battle, me and this guy Anticomunistul had an epic battle in round 2.

Starting with just food fights, at and sitting at the 5 Million mark, we both sat for a few minutes, (Only 30 minutes into the fight.)

We were down on Argentina big-time but were lying in wait.

at about the 45:00 mark, Anticomunistul made his move, there was only 800,000 influence separating us, and he passed in in a few fell swoops.

Not to be outdone, I immediately regained my status on top. at 6 million dmg.

You see, what he didn't know, was that I had plenty of tanks from a recent supply drop, as well as too many bazookas, Energy Bars, Winter Treats and Bazooka Boosters (I played the spin game too much XD)


But you see, I thought this would be easy and completely underestimated him as well.


So I lay in wait. At about the 1:00;00 mark I noticed that he had surpassed me once more. At this point I knew we were going to be fighting the rest of the way.


I laid out a BH Bomb right now, just to show him that I had them.

He was unfazed. Perpetual attacks hitting across the board.

Finally, with at the 1:28;00 mark, he laid out the bombs, to which I immediately countered. At this point, we were both at 24 million and had tipped the influence bar into South Africa's favor. I continued to give him everything I had, and he did the same. We kept the influence bar over 50% for almost 20 minutes regaining the lead and allowing the competition to continue.

It was getting too close, we kept slipping below 50% and dropping just enough to get back over and postpone the battle. The game was beginning to run slow in the refresh, I was out of Energy Bars, Winter treats and Bazookas, despite my perpetual collection of them along the way.


Time was running out...


All I had left were my 2 BH Rockets. I laid them both at once and next thing I know, I can't click the fight button anymore. I "Refresh" and find the happy Battle Hero sign lighting the way.


For a fight in D3, this was the best I've had in the game.

Not only is he a fierce fighter on the battlefield, but he's also an incredibly good sport and nice guy.

[Update] So seeing as he was such a great sport and epic fighter AND we had such a fierce competition, I sent him the gold winnings. (I won a TP as well as a ton of Prestige points and spent not much gold at all.
