The 411: President John Jay's Cabinet

17 Day 533, 03:39 Singapore
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I have the flu so I am warning you, this might have a bit of sketchy grammar and my style may be a bit - comprimised.

As I am sure many of you are aware President John "JJ" Jay was sworn into office today, becoming eSingapore's second president after winning the Presidential Election by 14 points (or twenty-two votes) against Teh You Jing, the Party President of the Birthday Party.

Obviously, a new president means a new (expanded) cabinet which he unveiled this morning in his newspaper, Admiral's Notes. This month's cabinet consists roughly twenty members (I have yet to choose my deputy), that's an increase of five position for all you fact-fans. Today I am going to run through each position of the cabinet and the member which is going to hold it for the next month. It should be noted that this new cabinet is very similar to the real-life cabinet of the United States of America, where John Jay currently lives (in RL).

I didn't realize how long this would be so I might start to write in very fractured sentences and just give my beloved readers a gist of the person.

President: John Jay
JJ is a close personal friend of mine and extremely trustworthy. He is very level-headed and experienced as well as, most importantly, very active. I think his leadership can take our country many steps forward, although he has big (high-heeled) shoes to fill.

Vice President: Jewitt
A bit of a bizarre pick. I don't know him personally (which is saying something!). He lives in America and Claire Littleton, the former WHPS, tipped him to be her successor. He is very well respected State-side so I think he'll do a good job.

Chief Adviser: Woshiempire
Previous cabinet member, devoted eSingaporean and has very good judgement. He is a very influential man and is a good choice for an advisory position.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs: Teh You Jing
Good guy, Party President of the Birthday Party. The creator of the (much-loved) eSingaporean forums and a very interesting man. Also JJ's rival in the election.

General of the Army: Funkmeister
Very active in the forums, very funny and charismatic as well as experienced and down-to-earth.

Admiral of the Navy: Flaco Jimenez
Who?

Chief of Staff: Relorian
I don't know him very well but he seems to be a good guy and obviously JJ trusts him. Any friends of John's is a friend of mine.

Chairman of Procedure: Teh You Jing

New Citizen Director: Woshiempire

Citizen Affairs Director: Zacrist Ale
REALLY smart and clever guy. Good friend of mine and my sister's. Charismatic and very approachable.

Foreign Minister: Ban-Ki
Interesting choice. I don't know him very well but he is known to get in a couple of heated debates which shows passion (a good thing).

Deputy Foreign Minister: Ice Freeze
The standard-bearer of AiR. A very nice and interesting guy. Very diplomatic and not aloof.

Chief Ambassador: Whispering Elizabeth
Confidente of the President. She adores him and is a very loyal friend. Libby's also a friend of mine who I've spoken to a couple of times on the IRC, she defended JJ against Will Shafer, who we all know can get a bit... well, you know - heated.

Treasury Secretary: chebbba
Don't know, hope to soon though...

Deputy Treasury Secretary: Arbryn
AMAZING woman, she made eSingapore. Genius financial brain.

Economic Council: Woshiempire, Teh You Jing, Kron Bjorden

Press Secretary: Tabitha Chandler
Complete bitch but awesome in her own right, right?

I love all my readers and I hope this wasn't a COMPLETE waste of time,

-Tabi Chandler, Press Secretary

For sure.
You forgot cold as ice.
Paranoid to boot.
Kidding.

Thanks for the compliments.
Though it's how you think of me, it's not how I see myself.
Plenty of room for improvement, just like eSingapore.

Hope you get well soon, cause if you really have the swine flu then I can't be near you. Pig's a sin.

Here's some motivation!
The sooner you get well, the sooner you can feel my gentle touch.

Really, get well soon. Cause right now you're important to us.
The newspaper is the best idealogical weapon around.

Thank you for your words, Tabitha. I will take this chance to explain a few choices a little more in-depth.

Jewitt, VP: I picked this guy because he is honest, trustworthy, a loyal adviser, and ultimately an economic genius. If you noticed, my cabinet is filled with people who know economics and this economy. It should tell you which way I am going.

Chebbba: I have known this girl for about 7 months now. Also trustworthy and honest, and another economic genius. She is basically responsible for Russia's growth over the last couple of months. If it wasn't for Russia being a constant PTO threat and having lands taken away, her work would show through a lot more. She is really the perfect replacement for Alucard, who was my first choice, but because of potential inactivity issues, couldn't be done. She knows her stuff, and she is eager to prove that.

Admiral Jimenez: Former US army officer in both cases (RL&erep) and a friend of about 2 years. The guy is supremely organized, and has been doing this sort of thing for a long time. I have complete faith in him and I think the people of Singapore should too.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Teh You Jing: Ok, this is the one I have gotten the most flak about. And to be honest I think it is an insult to this person's ability. He has shown himself to be a superior organizer, and a voice of reason to the people under him. If you haven't noticed, this military lacks organization. There is a reason why we need people to respond to their superiors in the military. Activity is everything, and I think Eugene is a great recruiter of people. I believe the military will only grow under him, and I think he will walk away from this head held high, because I have the utmost confidence in him that he can properly carry out his duties.

Once again, thank you Tabitha for the kind words.

For the record, I did not get the White House Press Secretary position, despite my literary prowess (or lack thereof). I am already setting up a way to begin tracking Singapore's economy and I hope to have some good numbers ready for Singapore's Congress soon enough Hopefully Chebbba can help me

thank you for kind words, John Jay and Jewitt
I'm proud to work with you guyz and I hope my work will help Singapore.
a few words about myself.
I used to work with many countries and many governments. Situation in Russia in the beginning of our independence can be easily compared with current SG's economical situation. We had lack of gold, money and people eager to work in new country. But there are some differences: Russia has a lot of resourses (high grain, wood, oil and dimonds) and SG has nothing. But Russia doesn't have enough people to work. SG doesn't have resourses (I mean high one), but have people. There's no need to be sad about it or smth like it, it can be solved.
In a few days me and Jewitt will share our views with you, guys, and I really hope your country will be rich and prosperous.
Thanks for trusting us.

Congratulations, JJ. Hard to see Singapore being better than the condition Arbryn left it, but if anyone can do it, she certainly gave the nod to the right person. Good luck, though I hardly think you'll need it.
