The Mapping Standard

I will start first with an apology: It was wrong, it was untruthful, and it was pure slander.

Now, I've been told over the past few days about how Compmage left SAIL when it was needed most (though I do agree with that, going by past trends), and that he did it because it was a power-hungry shark (which I fell for hook, line and sinker originally, hence my vicious little article). However, looking it over now, I feel, well, idiotic, manipulated, and gullible. Ethaya, Lucien, Hiresh, Compmage, et all: Yes, you were right, and I agree. It is nothing but a theory with no truth. It made me look like a bad judge of character. It wasn't actually so much that, it was that I genuinely believe what I said about Compmage when endorsing him for Foreign Minister and that what I don't believe is what I said in my previous article- that he is, in essence, a power-hungry shark. There is no evidence for that (the theory is possible but with no evidence, and there is much evidence for the case put forth by compmage).

I still think that he has done little on the political front (which he himself acknowledged), and that Deus Ex would make a better President. However, the 'facts' in my previous article were wrong and meant to harm Compmage's reputation. Despite that being told to me by others, it is still my sole fault. I apologize sincerely for any harm I may have inflicted on Compmage's reputation (though most of the damage done was to mine and the BLF). I was acting alone in writing the article (though the things I said in my article were not of my creation) and I should say that in this, the rest of the BLF did not stand with me (as evidenced by Hiresh and Jizzie's comments). Looking back, as I have said, I don't believe what I said. So, while it does not mitigate or negate the consequences of my actions, I offer my sincere apologies to all, including the BLF, Deus Ex (for possibly spoiling their reputation through my wrong approach and lies) and, most importantly, Compmage. What I did goes against my OOC and IC sense of honour, and I will not do such again.

P.S. If anyone (hint hint, if you're reading this!) tells me to quit ranting and I was right in my previous article but wrong here, I'm going to tell you three words: "F*ck you, bast*rd!" (Which I hope I won't have to, because I may get banned just for saying the above, despite censoring part of it.)
