We’ll be covering what happened in eRepublik in 2007, back in the days of beta. Being a newbie myself, I hope this will help educate others like me. Most of this info can be found on the wiki, but hopefully seeing it here will let it reach more eyes and help educate them better.

May 18, 2007 - The tests begin at eRepublik, everyone can register as a beta-tester. You can view the start of eRepublik here.
July 2007
July 4, 2007 - The register period of beta-testers have been closed, their number reached 100.
October 2007
Alexis Bonté present in an interview taken by Mobuzz.tvall about 'Online Dating'. Alexis Bonté speaks for the first time about eRepublik.
November 2007
Nov 20, 2007 - eRepublik.com is launched in BETA version.
Nov 21, 2007 - It is the first day of The New World and were about 200 users who registered from all the corners of the world (Europe, America, Australia). First 20 citizens of each country received 50 Gold.
Nov 28, 2007 - After just eight days, the New World reached 1000 citizens.
Nov 30, 2007 - Major tests were held.
This month in history:
In January 2009 Benn Dover became the first American to receive the Media Mogul Achievement.

December 2007
Dec 01, 2007 - First general elections in eRepublik. For the first time, citizens voted for their President and Congressmen.
Dec 10, 2007 - The number of parties in eRepublik reached the 100 milestone. Party elections, where party members voted for their president took place for the first time in eRepublik.
Dec 14, 2007 - The Gift production is now launched. The benefit of gifts is that the person who buys the gift will be able to give it to a friend who will receive an extra wellness value equal to the quality of the gift.
Dec 15, 2007 - The President of United States - Korbin King, trying to find a solution to lower the unemployment rate in USA, created the first bank in eRepublik. Federal Reserve Bank will be a tool that the US administration will use to support the economy by giving loans to the citizens that want to launch start-ups in eRepublik.
Dec 17, 2007 - In order to help the free market, the Contract board was implemented in the Forum. Here citizens have a legal area where they can make their official agreements.
Dec 20, 2007 - Local elections are taking place in eRepublik. The candidates proposed by Party Presidents have the chance to become mayors and will administrate regional budgets, buying hospitals and setting the company monthly taxes. Following a participation of 35% on average (there were more than 3000 votes all over eRepublik) in the local elections; we have now in place 181 Mayors.
Dec 21, 2007 - There are over 7500 citizens and 10,000 daily visits to the eRepublik world, after one month. Over 600 companies and 111 political parties where founded in 43 different countries.
Dec 25, 2007 - On Christmas day, every citizen received +10 wellness points as a gift from the eRepublik team.

Well it will be for the first few episodes since I want to cover the basics of history before I start getting into the more research intensive stuff. You've gotta crawl before you can walk. Then after that you can run, stub your toe and fall, and then go back to crawling.

@Daphne: Ya, I'll try to keep that in mind. And here's a little bit of info about articles coming up in the future: Important People's birthdays. You know like past presidents, Generals, Congressman, Party presidents, etc.
