Stanwephen aka Superman. The exclusive interview!!!

Day 227, 05:34 Published in United Kingdom Australia by True Blue Holdings

Earlier today i got hold of the often elusive Stanwephen, who is a London councilor, PCP congressmen, and the secretary of the PCP. Few can boast such a resume after just 6 weeks in e-rep.

So as I managed to track him down I thought i would find out a little about what makes him tick.

Why did you join the PCP?

To be honest, it wasn't an informed decision at all. I only joined because I'm quite the socialist in real life, so any party with the word 'communist' in is right up my street. However, I don't regret my decision because since then I've discovered that the PCP is the most active, fastest-growing and most innovative party, and if they weren't I would have changed parties ages ago.

You are a member of the London council, How has this added to your e-rep experience?
Immensely, it was the first major job I had. It involved looking after about 30-40 citizens, larger than most cities in the E-UK, updating a list, keeping in contact with them, and ensuring their wellness was kept up. In many ways it was exactly like being a mayor. The best thing about it was the Londoners, when they contacted you. I got a sense of satisfaction every time they PM'ed me saying "Hi, thanks". It has, and still is, building up my experience.

Why did you create the role of secretary?
I assume you mean PCP Secretary. I found that the PCP, although mostly active, still had a large number of inactive members. The primary aim of the secretary was to get members on the PCP forum, which has had varying degress of success. Another reason was that to keep current PCP members alive, healthy, and most importantly, in the party. I wanted to create a role that made sure the PCP stayed healthy as a whole, not just a few key members in the forum. It expanded from there.

What do you actually have to do?

The first task is to update the spreadsheet which has a list of every PCP member, their wellness, location, activity status etc. It's at 100 members now and looks set to grow still! I gift members, pm them if they become inactive or if they don't have a job, and offer them support. I also make social pm calls, just to make sure everything is OK. It's basically a way of making sure everyone in the PCP is familiar with me, so that if they have a problem, they can contact me. Every now and then I publish a report for the PCP, saying how things are going, and I've recently introduced the Star PCP member (congrats to corny-ratbag) to give recognition to a PCP member I thought was outstanding. The role is set to increase, including doing surveys, organising what PCP members do, and an introduction of a PCP buddy scheme. Although its a lot of work, its worth it in the end.

Wow that is a lot of work to create for oneself. This is one of the reasons that Stanwephen is so hard to track down, he is a very, very busy person who puts his party above his own personal gain

You are now a member of congress, in recognition of all your hard work, What are your goals in the next month?

As a congress member, I want to stay very active, and contribute to every decision being made. I'm a complete newb really, having only started this game a month ago, so there's a lot I won't know, especially about the economy. But I'm a fast learner, and I have a few congress ideas in the pipeline, so don't think it's a wasted seat.

Watch out in the next few days as these ideas are discussed because they could effect you

Could you ever see yourself becoming a mayor?

Most likely, yes. With the experience of London Councilor and PCP Secretary, I dare say I have more experience than some mayors that have been elected today. As for which city, I don't know. It would most likely be London. My only concern with something like that is the combined roles of PCP Secretary, Mayor of London and Congressman will eventually destroy me.

What is the best part about the PCP?
They're like a family I never had. Well, communist family Smile. It's of course, the members of the PCP that make it for me, everyone in the forums, and all the members I come into contact with during my role as secretary. I'm not sure what other parties are like since I've never joined them, but I doubt they have the same comradeship that we have in the PCP.

Now some readers might want to know, what is the future of your publication, The Spartacus League?
Hmm...good question. I've played around with a lot of ideas, firstly some very serious pro-communist articles, then a series on communist ideas, then a rather jokey interview. I think I'll do some more interviews on key PCP members, raise our profile a bit more, and then back to serious ideas. I love writing articles, and its sad that with the amount of updating I need to do I rarely find the time to write them out.

Well that is it, the man himself. I have a feeling the Stanwephen will be on the political scene for a while yet. While some have referred to 03samg as a prodigy, Stan has slipped completely under the radar, but his brilliance, effort and devotion to the PCP could not continue to go unnoticed for long. This guy is sure to make a difference to the E-UK. Indeed my sources confirm that the competition in London was actually his idea. He is providing great support to the Mayor that everyone loves as shown by her clean sweep of the Local elections. London does not have to worry though. When/If Piperbunny retires this author is sure that there is at least one able candidate.
