Recently, I've written about the lackluster mood that appears to be spreading across the eUSA. As a country, we have felt very stagnant. In a recent article, I lamented this feeling and sent out a call to America to help us help you by giving us some new ideas. Dante Alagherii approached me about the importance of raising more Field Marshals in the eUS, and suggested we do daily Q1 weapond handouts.

After considering his suggestion, especially the cost concerns, we here at the Welcoming Committee created and are proud to introduce "The Spartan Program"


I couldn't decide which Spartans were more awesome, so here's an image with both.

The basic idea is that we need more player interaction, excitement...and Field Marshals...and we here at the Welcoming Committee are going to start doing more to accomplish that goal!

Starting immediately, we at the WC will be giving away up to a total of 300 Q1 guns (lolspartans amirites?) at a time, as well as some other goodies such as high Q food or gifts, to citizens who manage to follow simple instructions...more on that later.

The importance of getting people ranked up can not be overstated. Here is an actual video of the conversation Field Marshal and American hero Eugene Harlot and I have before he enters battle against phoenix' lower ranked players.

Requirements:


Applicants must live in Karnataka. This proves you are serious about your eRepublik experience and us investing our limited resources in you is a good investment! If you do not already live in Karnataka, this can easily be fixed at no expense to you.

How it works

During random battles, we will announce in random locations where you can sign up for the current givaway, from here on out described as "Spartan Battlecry" for giggles. Hotspots for "random locations" might be somewhere tucked away inside the DoD orders, the WC newspaper, the Presidents newspaper, other important government newspapers, etc... so basically you will have to be active and involved in current events and media in order to find out where the giveaway will be!

The giveaways may happen on IRC or on the eUSforum somewhere...you'll have to be active to find out specifically where, since it will never be in the same thread/channel twice!

The program will stay open until we have given away 300 guns per handout, up to five per person. The program is not something you "join" more than stumble on (which becomes more likely as you become active in the media), and finding us once does not ensure you will receive handouts any other time.

Handouts will happen as frequently as we are able to afford them. As you know, the Welcoming Committee is a private charity funded by donations only so the frequency of these handouts is a direct function of the charitable donations done by your fellow players 😃

Cons:

- Cost will probably be around 30ish gold a pop,
- Obviously theres some labor involved.

Pros:

-Gets people leveling faster.
-Helps people get accustomed to being on IRC/the eUSforum
-Encourages people to visit the media more often, especially the newspapers listed.
-Encourages retention...everyone loves doing lots of damage and ranking up 😃
-I think it'll be fun!
