What to do with everybody's favourite Ministry? Its a question which always arises, people do shit for the first week and then everybody forgets about it.

Well not me. Why? Because I love Home Affairs, thats why.

Its my Ministry. Or was. Way back in the past. They are my homeboys.

Especially that little slice of it that deals with a thing called Entertainment. That little thing which is so often gone missing in our dear country. People often forget the fun side of things.

There have been some in attempts in recent weeks to lift the spirits of our fellow countrymen. SerFartsalot's Mole competition and the recent uprising of a certain game involving a rock, a sheet of paper, and a pair of two metal blades screwed together have been the standouts.

But the Ministry of Home Affairs has been lacking in this sense. Where exactly has it been?

I'm bringing it back, is what I will do. In style.

The eUK Weekly Games

Each week will see a different playable game run by the Ministry and a designated Judge or Referee appointed by the Ministry to run it. And the best thing about it?

We'll dip a little into the coffers to offer considerable cash prizes to the winners and runners up.

And the best thing about it is that it will be open to any active eUK player around! And that means any, I highlight any. There is no criteria for you signing up. There may be a small entrance fee, I'll have a looksy if it will be necessary, but I can officially announce that the first game that would be run would be an eUK version of the popular Role Play Game, Mafia. Its been done before on the forums, and would easily be transported into the actual game using such benefits as the mailing system.

I'd be open for any suggestions for follow up games, with thoughts including the Desert Island and other such games.

The History Files

It has been a long time since anybody's attempted to look at the history of our great nation, the last person I believing to have a brief yet fleeting go being John F Baker.

It would be an opportunity to not only look back, collate, and reflect on our past as a country, but also to flex the writing skills of some younger journalists looking to have a state-sponsored start.

Most of the information is already there, either buried on the forums, the wiki or the articles. Its just writing and collating it together which is the problem.

So, through the Ministry of Home Affairs, we'd be looking at awarding money to ejournalists who could contact us and be offered a time period to write up in as unbiased a manner as possible. This could range from recent happenings to right to the very beginning. Obviously some of the information is lost in lore and confined to the dark ages, but then it would be good to have some perspective on the past.

We wouldn't be looking for scrolls and scrolls of writing. And the journalists are given a free take on how they write. They could contact members who are still around and conduct an interview, they could write it from a first person perspective, anything really. It would be a collection of our past by modern writers.

The People's Referendum

Lets bring back Roleplay, that thing which was so inhumanely crushed, battered, hung, drawn and quartered, and which effectively heralded the death of our community.

But how to bring it back?

Through the people!

The Ministry of Home Affairs will each week take in all suggestions for any new legislation. This could be anything. Literally. Anything. Airstrike eAustralia or something like that for the lulz.

At the end of the week, we will then put it to the public vote through a newspaper article and the nominated idea which receives the most backing via the comments, one vote per eUK citizen of course, will then be enacted!

Power back in the peoples hands.

I know you want to.

So what is this Spamican month? This is the month of fun.

This has been my guide to what I want to do with the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Over and Out. For now.
