An Outside View

...to meet new people, see Budapest for the first time and have fun. I haven't had my trip abroad this summer yet, and coming to the Budapest meeting is as good excuse to travel abroad as any. I look forward to seeing people there. I assume all of you have read about what happened in Norway by now, and maybe you've even read some of Breivik's writings. My condolences go to people in Norway, no one should go through what they did. I've been following the story quite closely, and I downloaded Breivik's manifesto to try understand his thinking. One part in there is especially intriguing eRep-wise, let me quote it here:

3.26 Avoiding suspicion from relatives, neighbours and friends

F example, tell them that you have started to play World of Warcraft or any other online MMO game and that you wish to focus on this for the next months/year. This ”new project” can justify isolation and people will understand somewhat why you are not answering your phone over long periods. Tell them that you are completely hooked on the game (raiding dungeons etc). Emphasise to them that this is a dream you have had since you were a kid. If they stress you, insist and ask them to respect your decision. You will be amazed on how much you can do undetected while blaming this game.

If your planning requires you to travel, say that you are visiting one of your WoW friends, or better yet, a girl from your ”guild” (who lives in another country). No further questions will be raised if you present these arguments.

Of course this is just absurd and coming from a delusional man who planned his action for years. There were some visible signs but mostly he managed to keep his doings secret from his friends, family and authorities. His story is quite remarkable, almost comparable to mine.


WAIT WHAT?

Remember what I wrote in my last article? Let me quote again, there in the end I said:

”I will destroy ONE, one way or another. ”

But of course this is just a game and I have no real motive to do what Breivik did. I don't have a list of people or anything, so it's not like I'm coming to Budapest to kill ONE HQ So, looking forward to seeing you guys there in Budapest! Time to enjoy your lives while you still can
