Join the new world

In past few days (since last Wednesday), I had been afflicted with cold which had made both my time in RL and erepublik miserable and difficult due to ongoing headaches etc. For this I apologize for lack of updates last week from me. The temperature changes rapidly where I live around this time of year and I get sick easily in this “change of season” period. Of course, truth to be told is that there was probably not much to report back on since eJapan was quite “dead” last week. However, with the coming of new congress and our recent victory in the congressional election it is time again to try to pick up where we left on and to revive this community and let it be active again (since our emperor active again and shouting, “let there be light!” etc.)

There are few changes to the cabinet that happened last week that was not reported. First, Nowe is no longer with us, since he ditched us for USA and decided to die there. He has been removed from the cabinet. Terrible loss, but nothing we can’t recover from. The government is still fully functional, so no need for citizen to get concerned that we are dysfunctional without Nowe. Also, Squibeel has been appointed as a new Minister of Interior for the rest of my time here as the president. I have full trust in his ability to help out the community from this ministry; hopefully, eJapan with its new congress can consider building new state run companies again in Minister of Interior to help out the newer citizens (an idea which was dropped in last congress).

Second thing: good job people of eJapan with our congress election. We had so many active people online during the day which helped us with ATO efforts and we have secured 32 seats total which is way above 66% majority. With help of the Chinese and exreality, as he organized the election and monitored it throughout the day, we were able to overcome our inactive nature and actually get something done. Thank you everyone for their support. Without your help, we couldn’t have pulled this off successfully. Total of 150 JPY was used as an emergency fund to help with moving ticket costs to move voters for ATO; but they were spent for very good cause of helping this community regain sense of unity.

Third, Military is operational (not sure it is “actively operational”, but it is operational nevertheless). Contact Yonsil if you are interested in joining military or helping out with the rebuilding process. We still have funds (which were given to the Ministry last month) and we can approve more as we need it since we do have surplus in the treasury and we have active congress that can actually approve funds. We are interested in all citizens who would actively serve eJapan and help our nation. If you are interested, again, contact Yonsil for more information.

Fourth, I have decided to Embargo NK. This is official decision. You can’t reverse it. This will be the official government position. I hope Congress Agrees fully with this decision and vote accordingly. I have personally voted against it.

I guess this is as far as my update will go for now. All new congressmen and all citizens, we have some discussion on going in the congress that everyone should check out. Make sure to voice your opinion and help get this community active again. My time as president is short, but hopefully, we can turn things around here and get some action instead of inaction. Post Post Scriptum: To tell you the truth, there was an article I’ve written few days ago which I have a copy of here in my hand. I think it was very good, one of those articles you magically compose when you are really into it (like with those critical articles targeting some people) and was going to publish it IF we lost the congressional election (as you can tell, this was my back up plan if we couldn’t pull off the unity we had on the 25th). I would have really published it if we really did lose on the 25th and I would have enjoyed this position until the end of my term (as long as the PTOers would allow).

It was really good article: 4 pages long, lots of humor, action, love, hate, tragedy, some complex philosophical crap. It was about me commenting on end of eJapan, etc., about how I will proclaim dictatorship as a lolz before PTOers can wreck this nation. I also spent way too much time in my bed (as I was sick) about how I would kill the current emperor, how his soul flew out and shined light on eJapan, and he he flew to heavens and became god of eJapan and how I became his prophet and how I burned the current constitution that was written by reiji that was filled with evils of inactivity and flaws. It was some RP some fictional stuff for lolz. I was going to even invade South Korea, as all self-proclaimed emperor needs some lebensraum ideology and every good emperor of Japan must invade someone. I was even going to start writing the follow up article with all the crazy and lolz imperial ordinances that would follow up this article I would have published on the 25th if we weren’t doing so well. I even wasted 250 JPY (from my wallet) and made myself an organization I would have used if we lost.

To put my rant short: Good job eJapan. You wasted my 250 JPY (5 gold) for now a useless org, my now useless article article, which I must now shred, my chance of having fun invading SK while the serious players are shouting at me, and my plan which took me so much time in my bed to finalize (while I was coughing and sneezing with headaches and dry throats). In return, I got active congress, active media, and 32 active member of congress who can actually fix this nation at the cost of my boredom. I don’t know which I would prefer, but now I must go take out a shredder from my storage and get rid of this now-useless little (4 page long) article I’ve written in my bed.
