I just got my very first... here's how it went! (If you want bigger images, click.)

Step 1, check your alerts or go directly to the Treasure Maps portion of "Gold and Extras."



Okay, so clicking that link leads to Step 2 :



Hmm, looks like we got a new piece of info: how many living friends we've invited to eRepublik that are not yet level six. Possibly useful, if you promote your referrer link.

Then clicking the button to "Use the Treasure Map" leads to Step 3:



Just like it says, "Click on a X mark to search for a treasure. You can choose only one spot."

I picked the one on the right, but I doubt that it matters. Here's what came as the rewar😛

All of this takes less than a minute. So don't worry about eRepublik becoming more than a 5-minute-a-day affair for you because of this. It won't.

Some time in the future, I will give a spreadsheet and average for all those who put up screenshots in the forum thread and all of my own discoveries, so we can figure out how loose the slots are at the eRepublik casino.

Update! I got another one, and this time the map looks different.


I had the suspicion that they are trying to stop automated GOLD creation with different maps. I was wrong. It's just different flavoring. The actual links are called http://www.erepublik.com/en/treasure-map/map-results/1, http://www.erepublik.com/en/treasure-map/map-results/2, and http://www.erepublik.com/en/treasure-map/map-results/3. Automation would be easy if anyone cared to attempt it.

And, I am sure you're wondering what I got the second time... so am I. This time I swang left.



Holy mother of pearl... that's over 40 GOLD, a treasure of kings!

One more update... A third map came in. The spin of the wheels as your GOLD reward is counted up is very satisfying and adds to the element of suspense. Here was the reward (picked the option in the center this time).
