Seeking leadership

Day 762, 21:21 Published in Australia Australia by infin

It has been unnervingly quiet from Australia's top brass over the last week. I have no problems with our strategy, Brazil are on the offensive and we must absorb their attacks - show them we are up to their challenge. I don't write to criticise any aspect of how the conflict is being managed. What I do have a problem with is the total lack of presence and leadership with the public.

To the leaders of our government I say, let us know you are not hiding in a bunker with the lights out, let us know you are planning, let us know you are regathering. Let us know something, anything. War is not only a contest of resources and damage; it is a battle for morale as well . Australia's economy is hurting. Goods are scarce, jobs pay very low wages if available at all. I have seen several senior members of the government state informally in IRC that the government is planning and that retaliation against Brazil/Little Indonesia will be swift and brutal.

Prime Minister, please assure everyone who does not use private IRC channels that the next chapter is coming in this saga, the chapter in which we reclaim NT and WA. I know Brazil is about to reach its day of reckoning. The Australian public wants to hear it from the top.
