One year ago today I responded to an invitation to the beta version of something called eRepublik. I logged in, set up my account, and might have even bought some food. Then I said "oh, that's it?" and logged off for a few days till I got this email that if I didn't log back on and feed my citizen he would die. That was where I had my start in eRep and it has been an adventure ever since. Two months later I was in Congress ... then Party President of the largest party in the world ... and by the sixth month I was President of the largest country in the world for 4 months!
Somehow I still find this game enjoyable. For me, the reason to enjoy this game is for the people. It's not about the medals, the wars, or anything else ... it's the people. That's what makes this game great. I've even met a few of them!
In two days I will be running for Congress for the 7th time and I hope that I get another chance to serve by running for a seat in British Columbia (Canada). Thank you for all of those other opportunities ... they have made this game interesting and I've met many wonderful citizens.
I'm not going to stand around getting all long-winded ... instead I'll share some favorite articles:

I have a lot to say about you scrabbers so excuse this long winded comment. No one here is aloof to our very public hate affair that we had going on for a few months. However I can honestly say that during that time I still thought you were an awesome player and awesome president.
Now that i occupy the same spot yuo did several months ago I can say you did an awesome job and am amazed that you did it for three and a half months.
I am glad we resolved our problems and realized we actually could get along very well. Good luck and I hope you stick around a while.
