Running for Congress again

Day 2,553, 09:46 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Madelina de Melrose

Why should I be allowed to represent you again in Congress?

I’ve been in TUP since I started playing eRep, and was instrumental in getting TUP back on track after PTOs and bad leaders. Did I wave a magic wand and all was perfect? I wish! I’d love a magic wand and I’d love TUP to be perfect, but the first is highly unlikely to happen, while the second is going to take a long time and hard work. TUP didn’t become a mess in a day, and it won’t be restored in a day.

I’ve been privileged to represent you in Congress on several occasions. I’m one of the few who tries to keep discussions on track and invective at a minimum. Unfortunately I can’t say that all those in Congress are there for the good of the eUK. I regret to say that there are not enough of us to silence those who want to ensure failure, but we keep trying to make things work.

This is why it's so important for you to vote for TUP: The more votes we get, the more seats we get. And the fewer the number of seats that go to the oversized toddlers.

When I started playing eRep, I was a 2-clicker. Nobody bothered to help the new players, and there was no way to learn more so we could make the game enjoyable. I quit for a while, then came back and got on my soapbox. Eventually I ended up helping with the NHS (of which I am a co-Director) and started eBrit University, a mentorship/tutorial programme for new eUKers (of which I am Chancellor). I had no intention up front of getting into politics, but seeing the devastation caused by one or two bad characters, I made the plunge and don’t regret it for a second.
