Romania back in the TO business – analysis after PP elections
Disclaimer: this is a translation of a Hungarian article, written by me, published by Ipath 2 days ago. Special thanks to Bokor Apor for the translation.
0, South Korea
The TO team led by Clopoyaur, mostly consisted of FSR members, which ruled this Eastern Asian country for nearly half a year, and which suffered a great setback because of the 2200 people RL Korean boom 3 months ago, succeeded in giving 14 members of the country’s congress. Attempting to TO 5 parties out of 7, they only succeeded to hang on to their own party (Fake Swindling Robbers) with a close 11 vote margin against the multiple ex-president rythemdj. (The serial number is 0 because of the long-time ongoing TO battle.)
1, Singapore
The Southeast Asian country, renowned for being Admin’s home for a long time, is battling another Romanian TO group consisted of Semper Pro Patria MU members. By now, the TO team includes two of famous tanks, namely Fedor DSD and Cronoss, ex-president of Romania. The anti SPP league won 6 congress seats (compared to the 4 obtained by TO candidates) with members from the USA, France, and even Romania. The presidency was also taken by the „natives”. On the 15th the Romanians attempted to TO 4 parties out of 5, but only succeeding in one, their local party, the Virtual Politicians, Fedor DSD running against an also Romanian, but long-time Singaporean citizen Bogdan Armand Sibrand (12- 8 ). The president’s article about TO defense measures can be read here.
2, Denmark
Having regained its independency from Sweden only a month and a half ago, Denmark suffered the usual TO attempt. After the last Serbian team, now they suffered a one man TO, committed by none other than Han Solo, mostly active in the middle of V1, currently playing with his 8th character. After taking control in the 21 strong congress (presumably with the aid of fakes, out of the 21 candidate and elected congressman for the moment 5 are already banned) he obtained his first CP medal, winning the elections with a close 8 vote margin. Since he became president EDEN and Terra MPPs piled up in Denmark (putting Sweden in a dangerous situation). Also, an impeachment was proposed 10 days ago, which failed. On the plus side, Han Solo 8 lost the presidency of his own party, the Venstre, so now all 4 parties are in anti-Romanian hands, however this means very little in a country with such low population as Denmark.
3, Canada
So, Canada. In the case of the previous three states the TO teams didn’t enter diplomatically dangerous waters, since all three of them are minor, less important countries in spheres of interest of more powerful states. Canada, on the contrary, is more important: it forms the bridge between EDEN and Terra, being member of both. In the event of a Romanian-Canadian opposition it is possible that one of them might leave EDEN, or, in case of a lot more radical scenario it might drive a wedge between the two alliances, possibly tearing them apart. Of course, this might happen only if there wasn’t a common enemy (ONE), and if Terra wouldn’t be always getting rid of members who get in opposition with EDEN members (such as Turkey, UK, Japan).
”Short” story of TO: Until this, Romanians were welcome in Canada as a working force, especially when Canada had titanium monopoly in EDEN. As a result, Canadian congress members gladly gave citizenship to Romanian refugees, for whom the 5 bonus regions meant considerably more than those in Romania, which, depending on Hungary’s campaign against them varied between 0 and 4. Giving citizenship to a friendly citizens shouldn’t become a problem, however this changed when a slight shift occurred in the Canadian policy regarding EDEN.
You see, Canada has been slowly drifting away from EDEN in the past few weeks, however the reasons remained in the shadows for me (at least at the time of writing this part of the article). Spectacular sings such as military orders containing only Terra priority battles, the justification being that EDEN did not show intentions of help were present however, and unofficial sources say that the Canadian congress debated a proposal regarding leaving EDEN.
The Romanians took action in this delicate situation, trying to take over the top3 Canadian parties, namely the Canadian Paradox Party, EPIC and Union Nationale, with the following candidates: ex-presidents Romansul and Lego-kun, and a South Korean ’import’: LaserFrate, causing numerous headaches for the native party presidents and a media upheaval.
Let’s see the articles:
Canadians, before elections: deckakad and IronToader rally people to vote for native candidates, while PimpDollaz, who candidated in EPIC also urged people to vote. CPP candidate Ethel Rosenberg, after evaluating last month’s cycle and cheering for reaching TOP1, looks into the future and campaigns for his reelection, promising to continue his current work and to try introduce measures to increase activity.
Romanians, before elections: Lego-kun, after publishing an article about his candidacy, leads a negative campaign against PimpDollaz, bringing up topics such as the demolition of PimpDollaz former party and the alleged theft of its monetary fund.
Election results:
CPP: the winner is Ethel Rosenberg, with Romansul being the runner-up
EPIC: the winner is PimpDollaz, with Lego-kun as runner-up
Union Nationale (francophone party): the winner is LaserFrate
Post-elections evaluations:
Rolo Tahmasee, who is considered as a common enemy by a majority of the Canadian society for his thievery scandals during his time as president, but has also many supporters, surprises with his significantly unique interpretation of the election results. He considers the election of Ethel Rosenberg and PimpDollaz as fatal mistakes, fearing hack in the case of the former and reciting the allegations of Lego-kun in the case of the latter, also raising his strong objection towards the Romanians, naming both Romnasul and Lego-kun as PTOers. However, he isn’t aware of Romanian machinations in Union Nationale, naming the runner-up Teddyz as PTOer.
Rylde puts the blame on president Addy Lawrence, whom he considers close to Rolo, for not seeking help in order to save the UN. Andrew McKenzie Caine, president of CanVision Party gives an alternative to UN members in how to minimize damage and prevent Romanians from obtaining a seat in congress. Wally Cleaver, a supporter of Rolo does the same, however he envisions UN members joining the newly renamed Rolo Tahmasee Appreciation Party.
The drama doesn’t stop there. Roger Griswald shows a screenshot of a group close to Rolo working together with the Romanians (Rolo and Muglack are the president’s advisors), and, similarly to Rylde, he links Addy Lawrence to this group. According to him, the president lost the confidence of Canada, and Griswald asks every citizen to oppose his government. (Though I don’t find odd of the joining of forces of the two groups, since there’s also an ex-president with financial scandals in the ranks of the Romanians.)
Following this, president Addy Lawrence published an article seemingly and partly denying the before mentioned accusations. On one hand he speaks about Ethel Rosenberg’s hack, confirming some of Rolo’s statements, while on the other hand he talks about the help of two other parties in the CPP-EPIC-UN PTO situation. To prevent Romanians from gaining congress seats, he suggests that UN members join CanVision instead of Wally Cleaver’s party, making CanVision a TOP5 party, while UN would lose this status. He raises his concerns about another TOP5 party, the Norsefire Party, led by Rolo, who, as we know has worked together in the past with Romanians, effectively endangering his above mentioned plan.
The next article was published by Armour144, giving background information about the TO. His article sheds some light on the reasons of the EDEN-Canada conflict: unlike Terra, EDEN did not do anything in the British-Canadian and the Swedish-Canadian wars, which led to peace talks between Ireland, the UK and Canada, during which, according to Armour144, Addy behaved like a good friend of ONE. This led him to speculate whether the president has a plane for Canada switching alliance. After this, he talks about the PTO, reflecting on Rylde’s statements: he considers the president inactive, not only in EDEN and Terra channels, but being offline on the day of the elections too. Armour speaks long about Rolo’s accusations, first about Ethel Rosenberg’s hack, behind which he sees that this way the MoFA couldn’t give a warning about the president’s (and Rolo’s) pro-ONE ambitions, then about PimpDollaz’s matter, admitting the newly elected EPIC president’s thievery, but considers him a still better option then the Rolo friendly Romanian Lego-kun. He shows another screenshot about the machinations of Rolo and the Romanians, on which we can see Rolo trying to bribe a player with 20 tanks to vote for LaserFrate.
Wally Cleaver gives another twist to the whole matter, claiming there’s a conspiracy behind the PTO, the conspirators being him, Rolo, Muglack, Wes Lewis (aka Julius Caligula*), deckakad and IronToader (leader of Addy Lawrence’s party, MOO) and the less known Janos Leinport, with their leader being Roger Griswald. He dates the beginning to the start of Griswald’s EPIC-presidency (August), and publishes the portion of a log demonstrating that Griswald co-operates with Lego-kun. However, Griswald wasn’t present during the conversation, somewhat diminishing the log’s vigour.
Another opinion is expressed in Nosyt’s article, which sheds light on the Romanian activity in South Korea. He isn’t convinced that the president is part of Rolo’s actions, nonetheless he plans steps for the following week, even considering a scenario where Romanians obtain seats in the Canadian Congress. Some people even envisage a military takeover above the government.
A link compilation is published by Funky Hum24n, president of the New Canadian Progressive Front party. He also talks about the impeachment proposal on the Canadian forum. It’s also worth to read olivermellors article in which he moralizes about the role of party presidents and the country president respectively.
*Another president of Canada with thievery scandals, these days can be found under the name Julius Caligula, since the admins switch the names of those whose username is similar to their RL names (a perfect example for this being the winner and runner-up of the country presidency race of December 2010 in the USA, John Frost and CRoy).
More articles in the last 2 days: Addy Lawrence ( 1, 2 ), Acacia Mason, Sir Arthur William Currie, Treian, Roger Griswald, danyeo and roland-up.
