Returning to eRepublik

Day 2,303, 12:54 Published in USA USA by RobbieClark

My return:
Well its been a long time since I last played this game for a variety of reasons. Now after a few days of playing I would like to recall to you my initial experience...

First of all I have noticed the somewhat "takeover' of small parties and MUs with many of the once reasonably large MUs like TML (my old unit) and others like US Navy. have seen their membership decrease drastically. from well over 100 to around 10 or so. This is a major issue and I believe it is due to the larger groups offering far too generous incentives which small groups cannot afford to compete.

Before you comment it, I'm not saying this is a bad thing, however I do question to some level the way in which this is being done and weather we should question the way in which this change has come about.

Obviously there has also been a whole new change to the game's interface with the new map which is very interactive. I have also noted more trophies available which I think is good and gives new players more targets to aim for.

However, I have also notices the addition of WMDs being promoted and more readily available. Im not sure if this is such a good thing as it favours players who spend money on battle packs or upgraded storage which may make it unfair on those who don't spend (as much) real world money.

The world
Well to say the least there have been lodes of changes since when I was around the rise of small nations and the growth o bigger ones. Sadly I have not been back long enough to comment accurately on this however I think you may enjoy one of my favourite eRepublik graphics from a few years back of the world. I think it gives real insight into how far we've come.

Thanks for reading and I hope to bring you more of how I feel the game has progressed in other articles over the coming days.

Cheers and don't forget to vote and subscribe!
