Resource Wars analysis [EN] Grazie Italy!

Day 2,624, 13:18 Published in Italy Bulgaria by Mr YYY

Hello my dear readers and especially eItalians. Hope I'll fit well into your community and will have fun with all of you. Also excuse my lack of any Italian language knowledge, so most of my articles here will probably be in English, unless someone wills to help me translating them into Italian. Hope you enjoy!

My first article will be about the new event starting tomorrow - Resource Wars. I will show you my opinion about it and the possible future shuffle of eGeopolitics.

So shortly, Resource Wars is an event that will shuffle the resource among all the countries and their respective original territories. Each CP has the ability to prioritise in a list that can be seen in My Country menu. Each historical capital will provide Fish bonus, so the rest of the regions are open to change.

But, there is a big BUT. In order to change your regions' resources you have to win Resource Tokens. There are few ways you can win Tokens: Win MPP battles, win or defend Airstrikes, or liberate original territories which are currently under occupation. Though what we see at the moment are enormous amount of incoming battles in the very start of the tournament in order for someone to win Resource Tokens as fast as possible, because in order to secure the willed and prioritised regions you have to wins Tokens faster than your enemies. After all only 17 Rubber regions will be "blessed" with the privilege to handle the resource.

So in order to win faster the wished Tokens, the big countries are negotiating with each other or with smaller countries as much battles as possible. Or as we love to say: The more, the better. For example: USA, Romania & Turkey will face 6 attacks by them or against them just in order to take the Tokens faster than anyone. Croatia will face 5 battles, while Bulgaria, Hungary & Chile will take care of 4. The desired resources will end pretty fast, don't you think? Though the event lasts for two weeks, the resources will definitely be over a lot before that.

We'll see how things will proceed. But as I do expect, Romania and Bulgaria will try to mirror their original resources, Serbia & Poland will try to have rubber in their original territories, while countries like Croatia will probably make balanced way of bonus providing.

The best thing for smaller countries like Ukraine, Germany and even Italy is to mirror their enemies' resources, or try to put bonuses which aren't really desired.

However, Italy is facing 3 enemies on its borders - Slovenia, Hungary and Serbia, so it will be really hard mirroring resources. Yes, we can mirror one enemy, but not three of them. So diplomacy will be our best friend in the future. We'll figure out how things will go on, as Italy has to win 19 Tokens in order to replace its current resources. I am almost certain that we won't be the fastest possible winning Tokens, and we might end up in the Bidding phase.

It is certain, though, that big countries will benefit a lot from this change, which is quite stupid in some matters and quite good in others. For example USA might end up with all 15 resources on their original territories, while countries like Uruguay and Singapore will end up with fish by default. However, big countries like China and Argentina are deleted and are left without big choice at the moment.

As a conclusion, I want to say that for sure, the big countries will be either happy with the new resources or really disappointed. We can end up with different colonial and imperialist countries than those we have now. For sure, we are going to see one very interesting week.

With best regards, your new citizen 😁
