Report from Congress: RE DO's

Though we have been dealing with this issue the last couple months, I would like to address it in a very clear and open manner since not everyone seems to understand the full complexity of it yet. We are fully aware of fact that sometimes having a DO that is easily obtainable has been a problem. I know to some it can be frustrating, however we have been trying to maintain a system that works as best as possible. It is not a lack of effort on anyones part but rather an issue of game mechanics I will try to cleary explain.
First off the DO can only be set by captains if there is a current battle taking place in a country we are MPPed with. The MU commander can also do this for a regiments. Barring having a MPP battle currently taking place the Commander can also set a priority list that the game can use to set a DO by itself, even with a non MPPed country. This system is slow and cumbersome and unfortunately nobody but the game itself has no control over beyond setting up the list. We know it is far from perfect however it is the only system we have in some cases.
Secondly I have seen it suggested that if we had more MPPs we could have better control of the DO. Now while I admit that in some cases that may be true, the current situation does not reflect it. A quick review of our MPP list shows our current MPP list is some of the most heavily battled areas of the world right now. This should give as great oppurtunity to set great DOs right now, however if you look at the map you will find these countries wiped or near wiped. Sadly you can't set a DO to a country that currently does not exist.
To expand that last point further it also bing up a problem with expanding our MPP list. Our friends and allies are basically all in a similiar position. Wiped or near wiped. Sadly expanding our MPP list would have very little effect in expanding our DO options in the current circumstance due to the same game mechanics that are currently limiting us.
In the end what this means is, if you a truly concerned about having good DOs in the future, then you are about the only person that may be able to really help things. You may have to ignore the DO reward for now, see where our MPPs are and help them in their RWs to return to the map. When these countries exist again we will have better DO options. Without that we have few current options and more MPPs wouldn't be any better than a band-aid on a gushing wound.

Note: You do not have to move to the DO country to fight there. You need to be in one of it's allied nations. If they have an ally closer, then move there to fight. This will minimize moving expenses.
Unless the only options are RWs, of course, and that's happened a few times recently.
DO battles are only RW wars if it is our country. I have never seen another nation's RW as a DO.
Yes, that's what I meant. Foreign RWs aren't DOs so you have to move to the country involved to fight.

I can set to any battle, for any side, even rw by manipulating with priorities...but only if i have no active DO in that moment.

Maybe TWO will implode and we can have a real game again. Getting tired of everything being one sided. It's getting to the point where I don't see any fun in the game. Admin screws up the economy and TWO screws up the war game.

often the game only gives me option to move to a fighting country. perhaps should try something else. anyway try increasing our mpp's in certain regions for example europe. not all of europe can be wiped so we should have enough options for DO's . Also I'm getting on kurgan side on this issue of your gender. You keep on referring to yourself as "Your Goddess" but claim to be male?

It will only prompt you to move to one of the involved nations. You need to back out of that screen and move manually. Hover your mouse over the DO nation, and look at it's list of allies. Then move to one that has a region in our area.
ok so its faulty. but still with so many countries wiped it often is still a 60 iep or so trip.
