Relic - Economics Manifesto

Economics has always been one of stronger sides of eUK. We believe that up to now economics has been taken good care of but, as always, there is much more space for improvement. Our main problem is the distribution of employment. We have some sectors that have too many workers along with some that don't have enough workers, such as like Construction.

We believe the best way to achieve this is to maintain some control over it, whilst allowing freedom for both General Managers and consumers, in the hope of creating a harmonious relationship. The economy cannot be maintained by just Managers, or Consumers - instead, they must work together for the mutual benefit of all. We hope to do this, getting all sides of the economy to sit down and cooperate with one another.

We believe the best way to implement this is to co-operate fully with company owners to ensure 'fair practice' in the marketplace. To that end, we have created the 3 rights for the economy:

-Every worker should have the right to a fair wage.
-Every citizen should have the right to buy fairly priced goods.
-Every company manager should have the right to make a profit.

We realise that companies have an obligation to create profit, to sustain itself, and we can accept this. However, profit should not be made at the expense of the society as a whole, which is why the PCP will condemn unethical business practises and ensure that the consumer is protected

What we will do

-Continue to move new players into Raw Material Companies as much as possible

-Work on contacting overseas Raw Materials companies from ATLANTIS countries (that are not necessarily British based) to make export contracts, ensuring we have continous trade with our allies and none of these contracts are going to PEACE-based companies

-Offer government support in advice and expertise to struggling areas in the economy, and help provide private investment in those areas

As you can see, the government will aim to help all people in the economy, for the benefit of all.

Government Companies

We will create stronger governmental companies, but they will not compete with private companies. Instead, we will ensure small business can prosper, while creating jobs with governmental companies. We will create more, tactical, governmental companies, whose SOLE PURPOSE will be to supply the Ministries with their own goods. This will allow a full budget to be allocated to all ministries and schemes, and will both cut overspending by the Gov AND ensure stockpiles are there in times of war. When possible, we will have a high quality weapons comapny stockpiling weapons constantly, so that during times of war, we will have adequate firepower needed to fight the war.

Recommanded Retail Price

Prices on the market are often subject to extremes according to the situation, with extraordinarly low prices during times of peace, and excrutiatingly high prices on weapons and gifts during times of war. That is why we aim in the next administration to introduce the RRP, a government recommanded price for items and goods, that will cover the cost of the creation of the product and a margin of profit. A list of goods and its prices will be released from the Ministry of Finance every week, and in response to events such as war. It is our hope that this will normalise the pricing of goods and protect the consumer and the company.

Young Company apprenticeships

We would like to encourage current experienced General Managers to take under the wing younger, inexperienced citizens who wish to oneday own a business. It's important that people have some sort of guidence to running a business, and the best way to achieve this is through training by those who do it for a living.

Relic - Military and Foreign Affairs Manifesto

We believe that how Military and Foreign affairs are handled at the moment is adequate, but there is always room for improvement.

Military

We believe that Military is going through a very important transition phase, with the introduction of the Royal Navy and the Logistics Corps for the paras things are improving and reforming. We have completetrust in the current MoD - Ip Lockard, Reserves CO - Squiddy and paratroopers CO - Cheeseball. We believe right now that everything that needs to be done is being done and that, right now, us politicians should let the military handle themselves.

In the future we aim to support each and every independence war that arises, not only is it a great way to gain experience for our paratroopers but we think that every country has it's right to be independent - unless certain acts makes that right void. Relic will continue to encourage recruitment into the military through the MoD. We also aim to create several 'war manuals' for members of the eUK military force helping them to understand the dynamics of the military command structure.

We will defend all of our allies always and will consider with an open mind any requests of us to be in an offensive war.

ATLANTIS Military Reforms

The recent war on France has shown the need for some reforms in the ATLANTIS military structure. We believe in an ATLANTIS War Council that we will push to be amended into the ATLANTIS contract if we get into power.

The War Council would work like this:

It would consist of Country Presidents and country MoDs, plus any suitable military reps as the Country President sees fit. Any proposals of war by any country, whether the war plans to involve ATLANTIS or not, should be passed by the WC with a simple majority. Any country that declares war without consulting the WC will not be eligible for ATLANTIS support during the war - the offending country will be on their own.

The WC is only responsible for passing/declaring/rejecting motions of war.

For strategic matters during a war we would have a Central Command which is led by the Field Marshal. Each member country would put forward a
commander for the post of Field Marshal, each member country then votes for who it wants as the FM, a country may not vote for it's own candidate and the vote must be cast by the president of that said country. The FM is elected each time the Secretary General is elected so that if war is declared reasonably quickly a vote for FM does not have to be held - the structure is already in place.

The Field Marshal will be responsible for producing a cohesive strategy that gives instructions to each MoD for each member country involved in the war. This ensures we have a cohesive, alliance wide strategy which ensures high levels of co operation and no mistakes.

The other members of the CC are a representative from each country chosen by that country's president.

Any member of the CC may call a vote of no confidence in the FM, for it to pass there must be a majority of 66%, the next FM would be the person with the next largest amount of votes in the previous election for the FM.

Foreign Affairs

We believe that the eUK should stay a member of ATLANTIS. However, we believe that some of the spirit and comradeship in ATLANTIS has gone missing, we plan to strengthen ties with all current member countries through continuous bilateral dialogue as well as various other methods such as military co operation and financial aid if it's ever needed.

We think eUK should try to lead diplomacy in the eWorld. We will help our allies with economical and military aid when required but listen to enemies
and try to solve the differences on the international scene by conversation and diplomacy. We believe that a world of peace is best for the eUK, but we will not hesitate to strike at countries threatening us or our allies.

French war

At the moment this war cannot go on, we are struggling for resources and are being beaten back on all fronts. It is time to return to the table for talks with PEACE and negotiate a ceasefire. Perhaps in the future we can go again but right now we are losing gold and resources for no reason apart from to get beaten again and again.

Relic- Society and Politics manifesto

The eUK society is one of the fast growing socities in the eWorld. Just less than a few weeks ago we weren't even in the Top 5 countries in terms of population - now we're the third. Such a fast-growing society brings itself new challenges and problems that I am confident I can solve.

The eUK has the biggest number of Organizations in the eWorld. Erepublik is a game designed to be made by the people who play it and this means we need to keep the ideas flowing. We will always consider new ideas to improve the way the E-UK works. Within the government we want to continue to keep this in mind as we advance into the next generation of politics. We believe that citizens have a right to not be attacked for belonging to a certain party. We believe that real life and eRepublik should be kept completely separate, and that an essential aspect of the E-uk society is in the forum.

Cabinet Reports

To increase the transparency of government, and to help keep the people informed of what we're doing, we intend to publish a report from the cabinet once a week on the forum, and allow journalists to publish it in their newspapers.

The Forums

We believe that eUK society is one of most advanced because of our forums, and though there is space for improvements on that aspect, there is much more room for praise, and continuing the great works of previous figures. We owe part of our success to our all time admin: Nelsaidi. No other country has forums even close as active as our and we wish to continue to bring all new citizens from eUK to the forums by putting it into the president message.

Apprentices and Under-ministers

We will reform the current government system. Our vision for the next administration is to improve upon the idea of apprentices and ministers and mould them into government 'Departments', where each minister now has a ministry in which people work for him/her. The minister would then be responsible for promoting this Department, promoting government involvement. This will not only ensure that under-ministers learn parts of the job, but more people can get involved with the government and specialised jobs being avaliable for people.

Congressman

We are firmly against congressman that are not on the forums running for election. We believe that if someone is to do their job properly as a congressman, they need to be fully informed of the situations, and the only way that would be possible is if they are on the eUK forums.
