Welcome to the 4th episode in Reelin’ In the Years series and we’ll be covering our first invasion of Northern Ireland and controversial Presidency term under Edna Savage.

Edana Savage was an Irish citizen a long long time ago back in the day. She was the first elected lady President of eIreland and a very ambitious woman! After a long stale months of boring activity and neutrality, she decided to spice things up in eIreland and get involved in sabotaging UK’s Norwegian PTO operation.

Back then eIreland had sufficient and efficient tanks such as Einberliner, Bhane, Ydubb, Donavan Thomas, Castaneda, Grainne to name just a few. Edana utilised this military strength in order to reshape Ireland for a defence against a UK attack by CP GLaDOS. The UK has recently trolled the Irish media and intimated, harassed and even threatened our island so it was only a matter of time before a conflict began!

Our allies such as US and Canada have offered us their support. Followed by a small baby boom recruitment effort which was established immediately with a Republican vibe to it. This was quite a success as Ireland received a small number of new citizens but it was enough to annoy the UK even more!

The UK’s operation in Norway came to a half after the admins overturned the PTO and returned the occupied regions back to Norway as well as Phoenix occupied regions. What adds more salt to the wound is that the fact GLaDOS placed a Q5 hospital in Vestlandlet which cost the UK taxpayer 300 gold! Also it is important to note that the hospital system was a game mechanic placed inside the battle arena where you re-generated health through the hospital button. This feature was removed from the game upon launch to V2.

This failure worked in Ireland’s favour as Edna Savage negotiated with then Norwegian President to reward Ireland with Northern Ireland which they occupied. If my memory serves me right it was the first time Ireland had a United Ireland and it only lived for a short time after UK successfully regained Northern Ireland with a hard fought battle between both sides.

Until then Ireland and UK were aggressive neighbours and on the opposing alliances for a long period of time. Both sides suffered short-term and long-term wipes from the map. It may be controversial of me to say that Edna did indeed develop this long-term aggression between both governments. However having saying said, it created comradery and plenty of activity in the community.
