Public conversation about taxes
I am not a member of a congress but still I want to do my part of the politics, and the main thing I want to do is to get people active and now I try to do it with public conversation about taxes, here are the taxes going on now and the new ones that I would propose. These aren’t official, these are highly unofficial, but if they are good, why not.
Some details from all, income tax I would raise to 2% in every domain because then it will be very democratic, VAT would be 5% on all domains which would also be the same on every domain expect on hospitals and defense systems.
Under there are explanations mostly on the import taxes and why would I change them to those they are now. And I think that in every product and everything there should be at least 1% taxes.
food 2% 55% 5 %

The taxes on food were just change, and that we can keep as that for as long as needed, we need to look that over often too.
gift 2% 15% 3 %
new 2% 25% 5%
There are few companies selling gifts in Japan at the moment, and they can’t make a profit if someone from some cheap country would import them with only 15%, with 25% they can do it but Japan earns about it fine also and it can’t harm our companies so much.
weapon 5% 15% 5 %

If Japan goes to a situation where we need to fight really hard, we need weapons, there aren’t many local companies producing weapons so we need to be able to get them from other countries.
moving tickets 5% 70% 10 %
new 2% 25% 5%
The old tax is great if you don’t want anyone to move out or in Japan, but still, country needs to be able to offer moving tickets to citizens, now there are only 2 companies producing.
grain 1% 99%
new 2% 99%
Japan is very rich on grain and that is the reason we don’t need it imported at all.
diamonds 0% 0%
new 2% 1%
1% import is not much and it is only so that even little part of the money goes to country.
iron 0% 0%
new 2% 1%

oil 0% 0%

Japan has medium wood, and there is not any wood expect maybe 10 on the market, 10% is to make importing cost still something little, if we would start marketing that we would be buying it.

We need more houses on the market, in Japan we can’t get enough houses built to our citizens and to get any competition on those.

Something's wrong. The Congressmen are being quiet and the Citizens are talking out.
I think income taxes can be changed to 2% at this point. I don't see any reason to do otherwise... Except on Hospitals and Defense Systems. They're such a pain to make, and they'll almost certainly be government-run anyway, so it seems pointless to have any taxes there.
Import Taxes on Manufacturing (except Food) needs to be low enough that we can get them from abroad when necessary, but large enough so that the few Gift, Weapon, and Ticket Companies we do have can compete more easily.
@InfernoSD: What would you suggest as the import taxes on Gifts, Weapon and Ticket?
And the reason I am writing these even though I'm not in congress is because I cannot join it, I may need to leave because of operations very often.
25% seems decent for those three, but again, I'd rather leave it to the GMs who actually own Companies in those Industries and the economic branch of the govt. Without personally delving into how the three industries have been doing for a few weeks, I can't know.
I'm still fixed with zero tax for any land resource other than grain and wood.
And don't bother to change DS and hospital tax.
For the other tax, I have no comment.
I personally believe the other tax should be changed fast enough depending on the current situation and condition.
At least for now, food tax is already good.
All of the talk has come from politicians, where are the normal citizens, and their opinions? Please tell everyone what you think.

It is mostly due to the fact other really doesn't care about tax, or they don't want to make enemies by talking and expressing about the touchy or controversial topics. Of course it could be just due to the fact others are lazy, or do not bother to care enough about tax since the economy isn't in near death condition as before.
There are many reasons for this not been talked about, but what is most troubling to me is the fact neither ISP, LIB, and NPJ haven't stood up to speak about this topic, and express no voice nor opinion, when they are voting yes or no in the congress. This is most troubling, because one, we do not know their true motive, and two, we will never know why they voted yes or no.
what is even more troubling is the fact active part of the congress, which discuss within Forum is mostly NAP and TFC dominated, and other party doesn't even bother to send at least one person actively to take part in discussion, even if they run on platform such as "activity, and bringer of new voice." rather they avoid any discussion and just vote yes or no.
Congress needs to much more active on the forums. There is, as you point out, not enough discussion.
Tax can be an area where some people know very little, so refrain from comment. That is not good enough if you are in congress.
To all congressmen-
If you don't understand why someone is proposing a tax increase or decrease - ask them. You will learn about it, and gain knowledge and confidence for the next time a discussion of Taxes arises.
I too would support a zero rate of tax on defence and hospital systems. I work in the gift industry so I'd not complain about any extra taxes on imports there so I might be able to get a higher wage!
As for lowering the Grain import tax I think it should stay at 99% as we have oodles of grain so let the outsiders sell their grain elsewhere.
