Prime Ministerial Candidate Debate

First of all, i'd like to thank Patti for helping me to launch PixelPress and get the word out about tonight's debate at such short notice...
As you would now know, Patti11 and Corny-Ratbag are contesting the upcoming election for eAus' next Prime Minister. It's shaping up to be a tight race, with much being said about the relative strengths and weaknesses in news articles and the eAus forums.
Now it's time to hand the last word over to the candidate's themselves, with a debate on IRC channel #ausdebate tonight.
The debate will take place from 9:30pm (Eastern Australian Time) and run for up to one hour. Questions will be posed to each candidate by myself as mediator, but all questions coming from the citizens of eAus. Please PM me with your questions asap.
Each candidate will alternately respond to a question and then have opportunity for rebuttal, with a time limit of two minutes per questions. If time permits at the end of the mediated debate, the floor will be opened to questions by citizens logged in to IRC. Full transcript of the debate will be available via the eAus forum afterwards.
Thanks go to both the candidates for accepting the challenge at extremely short notice.

what's the irc channel?
#ausdebate
Thanks Patti - fixed that omission.
To be specific, I assume the IRC will be locked and eCitizens can /tell you a question during the event or do they need to be submitted to your prior?
I would prefer to leave IRC unlocked, however would ask that everyone respects the candidates' debate and leaves comments until after the main part of the debate has finished.
If everyone could submit questions to me before the debate begins, that will make things easier. However, because of the rushed nature of this event, I will accept questions during the debate and do my best to ensure as many get asked as possible in the time we have.
if they dont, just put them on mute probably restrict it to 1 question per person if its a big crowd.
Thanks to those who have sent through questions, please keep them coming!
For anyone that hasn't used IRC before and would like to be part of the audience for the debate, head to http://www.mibbit.com/ then click "Start Chatting now" and enter both your eRep nick and channel #ausdebate Hit "Go" and you're in.
