Presidential Update - Battle Reports
Surprisingly our first attempt at conquering the pesky state of Rhode Ireland failed. The pig disgusting Americans must have used the help from their foreign friends to push us back because surely they cannot beat us alone. Nonetheless I was fighting hard all of the battle and I managed to slay over 7000 Americans earning me the battle hero medal for the first time.
Because of this un-comprehensible failure I have launched a second attack, one that is surely going to suceed. How can a small , pathetic nation like the US defeat the great and glorious Irish Republic twice in a row ? It cannot and will not happen. Also because our battle hero score was so low I took the liberty on making another battle hero run. After spending 60 gold though Im starting to run out of liquid assets

Btw the Ministry of Finance and I are developing a plan to use the embargo fees from the war games to help businesses hurt by the war games. I met today in IRC with Co-Minister Appleman to go over the basics. While we havent hammered down the final version this is what would happen. Any business owner can message the MoF and apply for financial aid. The MoF will determine if your business was hurt by the war games. For example , you can no longer use your export license or you cant get raw materials. We will try to assist you by buying orgs and helping business owners with new export licenses to different countries. We will not leave you out to dry.

Dubh estimated that as the profit increase from exporting weapons at average wage and average skill while buying cheaply available iron.

Applying the same method to other industries I guess the profit would be slightly less as weapons seem to be most profitable at the moment.
This would be MUCH cheaper than giving orgs to Companies, which just sinks gold into the nether regions of erepublik.
It could also be fairly easily afforded. There's 17 participants in wargames apart from ourselves. We're getting 15G per embargo. 15 x 17 = 255G
255 / 3 = 85G per month
85 / 2 = 42.5 companies that could be helped per month
250 iep (approx 5 gold) would allow the company to maintain employment of 1 citizen on the average wage for the month if they so wished... Overall the package could ensure the safeguarding of about 42 jobs per month.

Forgot to explain I was basing it on a 3 month TW. The current contract is only for 40 days but I'm presuming it'll be renewed if all goes well. I'm also presuming that the embargo fees are a one off payment and wouldnt be included in any renewed contract?? not sure whats the orthodox outcome in that kinda situation...
