Presidential election coverage – February 2009
Dear citizens,
The voting polls for the 15th presidential elections in eRepublik were closed a few hours ago.
Here are the newly elected presidents in each country:

Not many citizens have been betting on Uncle Sam to win the USA election. Those who did - David Rojas and Raikael have won 10 Gold each in the forum contest.
A very tight victory was registered in Switzerland, where Dio Brando came up with 5 votes in front of the second runner.
Other tight victories have also been recorded in Belgium, Bulgaria, Ireland, Sweden and in Mexico (a single vote difference between the top two competitors).
In Mexico and France the people have again elected Giles and Papa Franz - experienced citizens that will most likely help the development of their countries.
Do you remember this speech? Well, Grev Per is now back on the highest office of Denmark.
We would also like to give our encouragements to fariba_112008 - the runner-up in Iran - that is know going through some hard times due to its special medical conditions.

@Kurapica: Citizenship is indeed on our list of priorities but until then, I can say that phrases like: "Stop moving votes admin" are not helping you at all to fulfill your goals. This statement is completely unfunded and can be penalized by the community officers. Let's keep a civilized conversation where you stand your point without "screaming" out loud things that are purposed to undermine the team credibility.

I think "Stop moving votes admin" is the same as "please implement citizenship". I don't interpret it as an accussation that Admin are moving votes but rather that the player in questions uses the words "moving votes" as an expression for players possibility to move and vote, and thus want's Admin to stop that possibility - hence "Stop moving votes admin"

How is it possible that Creos won the presidential elections in Russia? As far as I know Russia doesn't have any regions and thus they shouldn't be able to select presidents or is this one of those "features" that was just discovered.

Perhaps the community will not notice the slight, unannounced change to the rules to allow kinda crucial "feature"? Perhaps they don't need to know? They are only stupid users, afterall. Only good for bringing revenues and making the game look popular. Doesn't matter if they enjoy the game or not, right?

Err... it would be kind of you to tell how you solved this issue.
@adi.furk: I agree with Erwin and his "insults". And I don't think I am alone. I think the reason behind these criticizing comments is the fact that no other way seems to bring any results or response even.
Is this serioysly the solution for this problem? You disband Creos for being the president after he has made 4 MPP:s with strongest PEACE-countries. I thought that it would be obvious, but as you seem not to notice the injustification of these MPP:s, (I still call them MPP:s because i have get used to it, cant do anything with myself ) the community has to show them to you.
How is it justified that a country that does not exist anymore, starts to make MPP:s with other, still existing countries? Or is it a FEATURE? Is this a part of the new resistance module we have been talked about? With the absurd RW-system, this so called "feature" makes it almost impossible to conquer any nation completely, or hold it. Is this just another way in making the game interesting via Admin intervention?
Disbanding non-existing presidential offices is one step, the abolition of decisions made during the unjustified term is other, more important step. I demand you to cancel Russia's MPP:s with Indonesia, Iran, Portugal and Italia.
eFrance election was totally driven in order to counter the e-spanish take-over attempt (after that of the congress, as a revenge (attempt) from their war defeat on the eFrance soil...). I think we more than double the number of voters, because of that. That fact people are now allowed just to come in a country and vote in it permits this sort of war... and too much favour populated countries. This has to be said, whether or not you think this nice !
Therefore, yes, please, implement some kind of citizenship, however possibly flexible.
So, when are you actually going to get rid of the trivia? Its still not gone.
