Presidential Campaign Interview #1: Uncle Sam

Day 406, 07:07 Published in USA USA by John Wycliffe

I have sent messages to all presidential campaigns and their running mates asking for interviews. All of them has responded positively and are emailing me responses to questions. I'll be posting (hopefully) two interviews per day over the next few days. These are the responses to the questions that I sent them. We'll begin with Uncle Sam (Presidential Candidate) of not particular reason other than he was the first presidential candidate to respond. (Vice Presidential Interviews will be posted after all Presidential Interviews have been posted.)

======================================== =====

What are your primary goals in election for the Presidency of the United States and what, specifically, will you do to achieve these results?

Well I want to be able to bring our country together first of all. there has been much division and I believe that the elections will only make that worse. Win or lose, I want to make sure that after the elections our country works together under the elected officials so that we can stop the internal conflict that is slowing our country down. I'll use some of my executive power to just say "hey, I'm in charge now, listen to me and lets work together on this" I do all the button clicking, and I'll involve the people around me, but they have to realize that the petty internal bickering has to stop.

Also the economy is a big issue. Some people complain that market prices are too high, people can't afford products and that they don't like the dollar value right now. Well a part of that problem is a gold shortage. The wars around the world have drained a lot of gold on buying wellness packs, our country is no different. I laid out an economical plan, and a lot of it involves exporting and balancing the markets with taxes and regulation. of course the big influence is the war, something that has to be eliminated from the equation of economics in order to work.

What are your views on the current war with France and the war between Romania and Russia? Furthermore, what are your views on the position of the USA in Atlantis?

As far as France goes, lets get out of the war. But lets get out of it with leverage and a victory of sorts. We want Switzerland to be free, and it's something that has so far been coming along quite well. For Romania, well they're strong, lets not deny that. But their actions are a bit out of hand. First off they are starting a war that will lose ATLANTIS a valuable ally. Yes they helped with the French wars but not directly through land invasion. Their alliance with us is shaky. Finally, the USA should stop kissing ALTANTIS's ass all the time. Sure we've gone against decisions that fellow ATLANTIS members have made, but in general, we do not hold the power in the alliance that we should because of the power of our country. the USA should be more respected in ATLANTIS and not just a powerful ally.

What are your views about your opponents? If you would be able to work closely with one in administrative manners, who would it be, and why?

Well, I'm friend with most of my opponents. I've worked with Justinious many times, and he's a great guy. fun to get along with and has potential to be a great leader. One thing about him though is that he doesn't seem to be much of a man of action. that's something that we need in office lest we run into another Archibald or Immunogenic situation. DF is strong, he knows what he's doing, however he's not that loud. we need someone to be able to show their face more often.

Basically I'd rather work with Justinious, since it is easy to get along with him and I bring action to the table, his maturity and my passion will get the country far.

What are your long-term economic goals for the United States and how will you work to achieve them in the short term and the long term?

Well it's hard to cater everyones needs in the economy. I'm in tune with the markets as I participate in almost all of them. The thing is I very well may have a weakness there, as trying to cater to the populations needs in very dificult when trying to create a successful economy. Every president needs advisors, and I'm willing to listen to them. I have a plan, which wasn't accepted very well by the negative campaign that Justinious's supporters are running. it will work however the higher class of people who run copanies disagree since it's going to give more power to the average american consumer in the markets.

Can you name any very specific things that you are positive that you can accomplish in your first term as President of the United States?

Military weakness and our foreign affiars with ATLANTIS. pretty much we CAN solve our internal issues, that's not a problem. getting the USA's image back, easy to acomplish. Gaining leverage within ATLANTIS and in these wars, can be done. We're not going to let people walk all over us anymore, politically or militarily.
