Kitty here! It’s time for a chat eAmerica! Why? well.. congressional elections are coming, and that means voting. Voting with no AFA issues. Voting with a strong T5. AMAZING. I’m honestly excited. Still - there are a few things to cover. First - this is my own personal words. They do not represent the opinions of WTP.
Side note: If I offend you - I truly I am sorry. That was not my intent.



Work Tax chat again! OH yea. I’m going there.

A few things are basic, simple, and easy to understand. A country, real or in a game, needs money to function. The countries citizens pay for these basic things. They do so by tax. Why by tax? Because.. you really can’t just assume a person will give money when, where and how needed. You can’t just assume the person will know when, where and how the money is needed. That’s why people are elected into offices to decide things for the whole of the community. See? Easy to understand. Some would say common sense even.

Now - what all would all that money go to? In an IDEAL world... that money would cover military expense to protect the country, it would cover political needs, it would cover help for new players, it might even help older players, and you would never have a deficit. BUT! This is not an ideal world. THIS IS EREP! (yes.. yes I did go all Sparta right there.)




Now.. I heard a lot of talk about WTP in the Lucky 7 discussions, and yes - WTP did vote NO(with the exception of an abstained vote.) We were not by any means the only ones. And please - do not take my word for it. Go check out the vote yourself. Just so everyone knows exactly where we stand. What is best for the country. Not ourselves. Country>Party>Self and the whole shebang! I know you’ve heard this expression before. And you know.. we don’t always even agree amongst ourselves. That’s part of what makes WTP awesome. Varied opinions. Even if a majority of the time it doesn’t look like it on the outside.



WTP made that decision before knowledge of the treaty. It was the best for the country at that time. Now if the discussion comes back up - WTP will have a very different outlook on things due to the fact that we are getting regions and bonuses. So please - don’t take a discussion that took place under one circumstance, and apply it for all circumstances. I trust that people realize that a game like this is not cookie cutter shapes. Instead a fine dough that can be shaped and molded. (Yes... I used cookies. I am hungry. Sue me.)

Now - since Work Tax is NOT the only thing worth looking at around here I’d like to draw your attention somewhere else. This was brought to you by WTP via Hale26 here. WTP strives to bring forth the best for the country. Feel free to look around the forums, and see what all WTP has brought to the table. Or attempted to bring to the table. You might be surprised. Or you might not. Honestly I have no way of truly knowing how much you, the reader, keep up with Congress.

Besides... if people were all that concerned with money.. they wouldn’t be dumping money into vote buying for unimportant stuff as opposed to.. I unno.. sending that money to help the suffering private MU’s. Just a thought.



Now - the get involved part. Yes. Please by all means do get involved. And that doesn’t mean just saying when you hate things. Speak up when you love something. Speak up when you have an idea. Vote for a party you feel speaks the best for you. If you are in a 6th party and interested in running - contact a T5. I know WTP is willing to take on a respected 6th partier. (Of course you’ll need to bring your own votes, but that’s really nothing new.) Heck - if you aren’t in a party, and are a respected player. WTP might consider you. Why? Because we are We The People. And contrary to what anyone says - we do care. The People matters to us because we are nothing without them.
