PQ's Congressional Report

I hope to get a report out weekly. Wish me luck!

Assistance for Young Citizens of the eUSA

The Welcoming Committee thread on the eUSA forum has good info on getting started on eRepublik. There are helpful guides and it is also a place where you can ask questions.

Also check out the eUS Citizens InfoHub, especially the sections on Helpful Organizations and Helpful Resources.

Most of the US political parties also have programs to help newer players, provide mentoring assistance, explain basic game mechanics and so on. For example, check out the guides provided by the Young Socialists or the eRepublik Tutorials provided by the Federalist Party Academy.

Congressional Voting Record

Members of Congress can publically record their votes on the Voting Records thread of the eUnitedStates forum and many do.

I've only been in office for 2 1/2 days and it's my first term, so I've been reading like mad (yikes!), making sure I understand the right procedures and what's going on.

My votes so far, ignoring lulz proposals left over from the last Congress, have been:

* Affirmation of mutual protection pacts with Romania, a long-standing US ally. Voted YES.
* Affirmation of MPPs with Singapore and Paraguay, who wanted to participate in the US-Ireland training war. Voted YES.

Senatorial Schmooze

First order of business, along with a few votes and getting myself oriented, was to donate the 5G I received for getting elected. Since I'm such a swell guy and it was Thanksgiving and all, I added another 1G to the kitty and sent 3G to Meals on Wheels and 3G to the Flying Unicorn Squad.

Nominations are under way for a new Speaker of the House, with several very fine candidates having accepted nominations.

And, of course, war has broken out all over the place. To my official constituents in the wasteland of North Dakota, I strongly urge you to re-locate to Florida or California so you can use a Q5 hospital after fighting.
