Four days after the Congressional election, and I'm finally getting around to cleaning up.

You ran a clean race and conducted yourself most respectably.
Last week when the USWP set me up to run in Oklahoma a second time, like most candidates I anxiously awaited learning who the other Parties would assign to run against me. Then came that whole Citizenship Approval thing, followed by my purposely inflammatory "Treason!" article. Next thing ya know, my main opponent for Oklahoma's Congress seat was none other than the world renown PEACE/Phoenix master propagandist, GLaDOS. "Holy crap!" I thought, "They brought in a ringer!"
GLaDOS published one campaign article, which really blew, he made no attempt to reform his image, and did no active campaigning. Even so, I just knew my goose was cooked, that S.E.E.S. would be throwing a ton of last-minute votes his way. Given the current environment of heightened hostility between me and Der Fuhrer Emerick-Gaga it seemed like a sure thing.
On the evening of the 24th, in the hours leading up to the opening of the election polls, me and GLaDOS spent some quality time chillin' in an IRC PM... yes, friendly talk between game adversaries... what a concept.
After an hour and a half of chit chat about internet browsers and some RL stuff, and a little about current events and our respective Parties and the campaign, we ended our conversation like this:

Election Day rolled on. I had a substantial lead from the very start, and it got wider throughout the day. I left my July 24th article up all day, till 21:00 hours when I posted a new one. At that point I think I was ahead, 13-to-3. But this not being any normal race, I was not confident in or comfortable with that lead. I posted my late night article specifically asking supporters to move to Oklahoma and pad my lead to discourage a last minute bump by S.E.E.S.
At 22:47 Emerick hailed me into an IRC PM. Long story short, he tried to assure me that he was not going to direct his S.E.E.S. Party to snipe me, that there would be no last minute bump for GLaDOS because he was more concerned with saving America from Ajay the PizzaMulti in Chongqing, and a likely Ajay multi in Georgia. He asked me to stop campaigning, that I had already taken votes away from his effort, and my continued campaign would surely draw votes away from S.E.E.S. candidate Glove in Chongqing. I did not pull my article or edit it to ask supporters to go to Chonqing.
During that final three hours with a new article up I got one more vote, finishing up the night 14-3-1.
The race in Chonqing ended up with Ajay the PizzaMulti winning, 19-17-7, the third place finisher being my own endorsed soldier Doubleblade. At one point Ajay and the S.E.E.S. candidate were tied, then Ajay pulled ahead by two and S.E.E.S. failed to match him.
I'll repeat what I've said before: if any of my voters had gone on a 3-ticket trip to Chongqing they would have voted for Doubleblade, not any S.E.E.S. candidate. And, I had no reason to take assurance from Emerick that he did not intend to push GLaDOS ahead to remove me from Congress.
Yet, that night and for days afterward, I was besieged by messages from S.E.E.S. members telling me that it was my fault that Emerick was unable to save America from Ajay.
I had no idea that this was only the first episode of a series of communications initiated by S.E.E.S. members which would baffle and astound me.

I'd been missing connections in IRC with a stranger, but late Monday night we did get together, and it started off like this:

He gave me the URL of an eRep player profile, and went on to say he's Emerick and this was one of his many multis.
He told me that the whole double scenario of putting GLaDOS up against me in Oklahoma, then the late night push to beat Ajay in Chongqing, was all a big ruse... a distraction.. to draw the public's attention away from his candidacy in Nebraska. End result, he says, is that I played perfectly into his hands, and he had gotten one of his multis elected to Congress in Nebraska.
I asked why the hell he would be telling me this, he told me it's a test.
Would I do anything with this new information, if so what, and who would I contact and when and how...?
I did not promise to keep any such secret, based on the "law and order" principle that no deals struck with a criminal, no promises made in the course of investigation, are binding.
But this fella claiming to be Emerick was persistent. I certainly must do something, go to someone, with this information. The were more tantalizing conditions put on me-- that I must go to handle this exactly right or it would all come down on me, that I must take action not too soon but not too late, or he would get clean away with this and much much more. I certainly couldn't let it go on by-- if true it would be a huge disaster that I would have not averted when I had the chance! But if handled wrong, I would be making a public false accusation and ruining what little credibility I might have, and risk being sanctioned by game Admins as well.
In the morning I went into the #kongress IRC room-- that's the supposedly private room where we might discuss things outside of the general public, where admittance is supposed to be limited to Congressmen and select high placed officials.
My strange friend had changed his IRC nick several times, and when I saw "|

Well, I'm no tech whiz, but I did remember to copy these IRC conversations into Notepad and save them as .txt files, and those IRC tabs remain open. I've referred to them while writing this piece, but am reluctant to post the full trans-cript because I don't have permission to do so.
I know I could PasteBin them and they'd end up available to anyone through a Google Search, then leak that URL.
There have been two notable occasions when PMs I've had with people have been put into general circulation, specifically with the intent to discredit me.. I know from being on the shitty end of that stick that this is not how I work. But I do have the .txt files.

The Strange Dimension of S.E.E.S.
In the course of the election, just in these past days, I was contacted my political opponent GLaDOS who was friendly and disarming and genuine; by Emerick who told me I was preventing him from saving America from Ajay; by a newly elected Congressman pretending to be Emerick and trying to somehow trick me into making a false public accusation; and by numerous S.E.E.S. Party members who have called me every name but my own.
It is clear that they see me as a threat to their manner and methods to be putting such effort and attention to derailing one crabby old man with an opposing view.
Maybe they're vampires... not the modern sexy ones, but the old fashioned Bela Lugosi ones who just can't stand the light of day.
That light of day where deception is revealed and the truth wins out.

America will be holding a National Primary Election on August 2nd, to determine our next President in an off-game vote, so that on the game mechanics Election Day we might all go to Croatia to vote there.

I said that was Emerick, and asked why he has access to this private room. I was informed that it was not Emerick at all, but one of the new Congressmen.. the very one whose Profile URL was given me by the IRC chatter purporting to have been Emerick.

I'm not a troll, I'm not even in SEES, they made me an avatar, they're very talented.
But the fact that you are so easily manipulated, and try to paint everyone with a broad brush as out to get you, make you look bad. People get trolled all the time, and this wouldn't be the first time someone attempted to manipulate someone else, it happens all the time. Most people have the sense not to write an inane article with non-sequitur images to draw attention to how easily they were almost duped, and how often they're getting trolled and then drop a bunch of gold to advertise how they almost were taken advantage of.
There's an old Internet saying, I'm not sure if you've heard it or not, but, Don't feed the trolls. You still insist on continuing to play this victim of troll/bully/abuse role. All that does is draw more attention to it, and creates more fuel for them to throw at you.

I consider both you and Emerick friends. May I share one thing about my friend Emerick from experience, just one glaring example?
About three months ago the Republicans were about to take a Top 5 party placement. Emerick sent his whole party to defend that spot against what he believed to be a national security threat. His party went from 12 Congressman to 3 that month, because of his selfless act.
If Emerick comes to you in private and tells you there is a national security issue which trumps your personal issue, he means it and his word is solid. I'd stake my own on that, and I'm about as honest a person as you'll find. I believe this.
Not that you would know that then. Which is why I say it here and now, for all to read.
If Emerick comes to YOU in private and makes such a request for your support in a national security effort, he is being sincere.
Knowledge for the future.
Now, continue disliking each other, none of my concern, otherwise.
