Day 1,007, 04:26 Published in Serbia United Kingdom by Kevy Kev Kev Junior shabado

Hello eUK.

Before I get into my Military Manifeso. I want to remind you to read my previous manifestos. It has become apparent that some people commenting on my latest articles haven't actually read them at all. Please don't judge until you've actually read each manifesto. :3

Intention to run for PM
Domestics
Economics

I don't want to resort to mud slinging that you might have seen from my other opponent. I'll just say this.

I urge you not to vote for the party..but for the Candidate.

The past few months have been a turbulent time for our country, and our military. Changes from the admins, disputes and conflicts have been the focus for many of our military staff for quite a while now. However, through thick and thin they have continued to function, and continued to aid the protection of our vital regions.

The Military

As I had stated in my previous manifesto on Economics, my Government will continue to use an MoD in favour of a CGS, and that position has been granted to the incumbent, Count Drakula.

Why are we using an MoD? What advantages does it have?

Well, a number of weeks ago Mr Woldy published this article calling for the reintroduction of the position, and in the following days the Current president Jamesw was in favour of reintroducing the MoD. I was also pleased to read that my opponent also decided to pursue our zeal for the Ministry.

We feel that with an MoD as sole authority in the Military, it will not only iron out some issues that were flagged in the past months, but also serve to heal the apparent rift that developed between the House of Commons and the army. An element of pragmatism is also a heavy influence in the reintroduction of the position, but for more justifications you need only to read the article linked above. 🙂

As it stands, the eUK Army is a well oiled machine. The use of IRC is not required, but it is still seen as an important element to an efficient fighting force.

The eUK currently has a large active population compared to the number of forum and IRC users. For this reason we would like to explore the expansion of the non-IRC using parts of the army into a full branch, to act not only as a training division but a vassal of retention; many people will remember the Navy and how good it was as a method of retention and of course as an effective damage dealer.

This would free up those who do use IRC to form specific ‘fast-response’ units that can follow the flow of the various mini-battles throughout the day. You may see this as being similiar to the old Navy/SF system that was in use in V1 and yes, it is similiar. However you must keep in mind that the Army as it is today is that which had adjusted to V2, and as the wall made a comeback there is no great reason why we shouldn’t look to previous organisation to seek ideas for the future.

That said, we are in limbo; V1.5 - and so effective ways of managing a non IRC armed force will need to be developed. This task is no small feat, but the more of us there are fighting in our armies, the more of us there are becoming integrated into the off game community. This, the added damage and potential for fun are motive enough to reconsider introducing a branch appealing to those we would otherwise consider as two clickers.

Naturally such a branch requires an influx of applicants. Recruitment isn’t something many people in the eUK are exposed too, and this is another thing that under an MoD can change. The regular publishing of articles by the MoD, the Army itself and the MoHA can all be used to instruct people how and where to fight, but how to sign up.

Greater media presence, and attempts at recruitment are essential for any growing military, and even more so for one that has as much growth potential as ours. Fortunately the military won’t be wasting time writing articles and sending PM’s. These roles slot easily into that of the Ministry of Home Affairs, who maintain regular contact with our citizenry as it is. All that is needed is a bridge between the two institutions, and that bridge is provided by the MoD.

There are a range of guides and articles that can be released to bring a human, fun face to the army. After all, this is a game, and the army is fun. We just need to show our populace how easy it is to become a member of our community, and a fighting member at that. We know the benefits being in a national military can bring, but how many people who don’t use the forums don’t? Hopefully increased recruitment and a strong media presence from within the military create a rise in applicants, and thus a rise in damage, and ultimately fun.

Foreign Affairs

The current Minister of foreign Affairs has done a great releasing regular reports and articles to keep everyone up to date on what goes on around the world. I am a big fan of how the Ministry is run right now by Keram. I will be wanting whoever is MoFA this month to continue the legacy that he set up this month and continue with all of the different reports we've come to expect twice a week. 😛

Needless to say our relations with countries around the world are very important, and as a member of Phoenix we are given an environment which facilitates the establishment of great relationships with a range of countries countries be they fellow member-states or otherwise.

Again media presence is a great tool to use. With our foreign affairs org, we can publish articles to our allies and vote them, letting them now that we appreciate their help and that we stand by their side. Acts such as this, and the holding of regular meeting with our geopolitical neighbours all stand to strengthen the bonds that were established and have been developed since our alliance was first made.

As for Ireland..well. You've probably seen my Presidential goals by now. 😉 I plan to have some fun with Ireland over the next month or so if I'm elected. Of course our allies urgent battles will be our priority but that doesn't mean that we can play with the little nation. We could also use the fruit resource too. 😁
Well thats the wrap for the Military and Foreign Affairs Manifesto. Remember; although I technically do not have as much experience in Military matters as my opponent does, but I do have a clean slate and respect for our military and its leaders.

Stay tuned for my final article tomorrow which summarizes my campaign and gives you a less tl;dr version of why you should vote for me.

Potential Prime Minister

I felt like this needed to be included in my manifesto. Long Live the King!
