Dear readers,
First of all, I would like to congratulate the newly elected Party Presidents and wish them good luck for the upcoming month. Today, there will be no interview but a comment from myself on the elections. The results kinda surprised me, in a negative way. Enjoy !

As you may notice, the participation rate isn't the same in every parties :
Res Belgica: 0.45
ATO: 0.38
HOPE: 0.95 !!!
BfB: 0.45
NBB: 0.58
TOM: 0.83 !!
HOPE and the OM Party had a high rate of participation during these elections. Needless to say that those two parties radically changed of Presidents. HOPE is now ruled by Zangetsu-ozan, former PP of the Marxist-Leninist Belgium, and The OM Party is ruled by Jofroi, former [insert anything you want]. But can we really call it a PTO and organized elections ? Of course we can ! How do you think a player such as Zangetsu-Ozan was able to win elections against A Vegan, Party President of HOPE for many months, who considers it as its own creation ? How do you think Jofroi is able to win every PP's elections ?
The elections are easily manipulated and we use it to counter-attack what many call PTOers. But who are really the PTOers now ? As I said here, there is nothing but a political opposition. This paranoia, which reached the Immigration Office for too long now, must cease or eBelgium will become a empty shell, vulnerable to real threats.
Moreover, we received several witnesses on the forum and on IRC telling that some PP candidates (not mentionned above) were paying for votes. I would like to tell them that this is really lame. Where is the pride in winning elections if you can't even convince voters without paying them ? Where is the fun in that operation ? Isn't eRepublik a game ? Why don't we enjoy eRepublik like a game ?
EDIT: Some people think I accuse the governement for those "PTO". But as I just said in the comment section, I'm not, I aim the whole eBelgian community.

I agree that our immigration is strict, but I cannot agree with those people who don't abide by our immigration rules.
A PTO is not just "an opposition", is a method to ruin game experience of an entire country.
PTOers use state treasury not to run citizen packs, to give loans to citizens or to feed soldiers and recruits of an army, but they use it to transfer money to their own pockets.
PTOers make an entire country unworkable as a community, they could use fakes and help (i would say use) newbies as far as they get into power, then nothing more.
New ideas are always accepted.
And I'm glad that I was elected Party president, because I got new active people to be elected in Congress: Beaver Juice, Matt HS, yomancitizen (not a newbie, but an immigrant AS I AM), Primus Dark. I will continue this job for another month, then I think another Belgian citizen will take my seat.
Politics are dirty, you better live with it to avoid frustrations.
But that does not mean we should all act that agressively when AVegan has a party and is a PP candidate.
He's indeed a bit "opposing", but that's what good opposition has to do.
PTO'ing an RL belgian his party is a very sad story.
It might be beneficial on the short term, but in the end you just give him arguments to play it dirty as well.
So I fully agree with that part of the article.
But the way that the political game has been played in this case, has NOTHING to do with the immigration policy.
That's the first thing I don't understand.
2nd thing I don't understand is why you say that the IO's are paranoia?
How many request were accepted and how many refused? For what reason were they refused?
So next time, explain such phrases, cause they come out of nowhere and they doen't make sense.(according to me)

@tecuvo: First, thank you for taking the time for your comment. I have to keep the silence about some things so that's why my part about the Immigration isn't clear. But We've already talked about it on IRC and we have to admitt that if you search for something to accuse the applicant of PTO, you'll always find it.
The case of Muhezain proves it. He was accused of being a ML and then a potential PTO. One of his friend added a romanian as friend, we immedediately thought he was in contact with the romanian governement...
C'mon, that's just paranoia.

And I talk about my own experience too ( don't call me a multi : p ). I've been refused for NO reasons. I checked my own case since I had the access to that part of the forum.

I was going to say congrats to Zangetsu-ozan. I found it already a bit strange that everytime I got in the lead a few minutes later he got a vote extra. It's a shame I don't mind to lose. The best man should win. But it seems now the gov choose who should be PP. Zangetsu-ozan I hope you will react to this and do what you said in your article. Did the gov that you want to get rid of just help you?

If this was organized this was organized at the forum (and that is only a small part of the eBe community) and is under control of the gov. Anyway shame on who ever took part in this. And don't come crying to me if hell breaks loose. I am done with trying to calm down people..
