Poland is providing an interesting case study

Day 862, 18:34 Published in Japan United Kingdom by suhaw

Thanks to many kind folks giving advice, food and gifts, my wellness has jumped up substantially, and I am no longer in danger of dying.

And I suppose, because of that, I may not be prime target for sacking by my company anymore, hopefully.

Anyway, while researching on other candidate countries to move too, I discovered that my newbie-"random" choice of Japan wasn't too bad. Sure it is not the "best" choice, but it sure opened up many possibilities.

Currently, the eCountry that seems to stand out appears to be Poland. It not only has the highest number of citizens, but the employment prospects (at least for a mid-level construction worker like me) looks good and the L5 food prices aren't bad either.

Perhaps this is a good argument supporting the benefits of Economies of Scale. With greater competition, coupled with a free market, the consumers get to enjoy cheaper prices and workers get to choose higher-paying jobs.

That of course brings up the question of why the companies in Poland want to suffer the high wages and low prices. My initial thoughts are that there is easier mobility for individuals (consumers and workers) while companies find it more difficult to migrate.

Will think this through better before I write again to expand on my initial thoughts.
