Couldn't agree more. We wouldn't have this problem if eRep was an American-run company. (Damn - I wish I won that huge ass Mega Millions jackpot so I could buy it!)

It wont happen. eRep Labs, the company who owns the game, does not care about the casual player. The ONLY people they will listen to are the huge gold buyers and most of them are so addicted to doing 200 million damage that they cant get off the gold.

This game will slowly die, it already has been for years. Eventually there will be 2 countries with 2 live players doing 5000000 million damage and maxing out their nations credit cards

As I new player, I heard about the "company" feature on this. Where you have a company, change it's name, manage it, stuff like that. I was really disappointed when I heard you could no longer do it.

Its a free game - play it that way and you'll never be upset. If you bought gold, think back on all the amazing fun you had pushing the little fight button and maybe getting a picture of a medal on you profile page. If you play for free, why complain? Think of eRepublik as the "fat-chick" of video games. Fun for a bit, but you'd never tell your friends, and you feel stupid when you blow money on her.

It's credit card driven game. As long as the big $ spenders keep buying gold packs, nothing will change.

now you guys are finally getting it, it has nothing to do with skill, its about taking over the whole world. of course the Rich are going to rule and change the game to fit them. don't you see thats how the real world is, stop asking for things to be changed. cause if you cant fix it in this game. you cant fix it in real life either.

increase in gold prices or what you call inflation is not the problem . The problem is deflation and that is what is killing everyone and the game . You can support yourself as long as you are capable of making money . Right now you can't make money , the price of everything drops day by day , wages are cut almost 50% since I started this game . If you have gold then you are ..well ..golden . If you don't then you are screwed . Eventually, without a fix , the economy and the game will collapse.

Since Day 1600, gold has risen 14% while weapons & food have dropped 15%. Raw materials have dropped 33% and wages have declined by 11%.

It makes no sense that gold should rise in the face of falling prices & wages. If the economy of eRep can't get back on track, there will be a decline in the user base.

I've been a long time user myself. I was around during the height of its glory, and then was one of the many that ditched when the admins decided to take a dive off the cliff of despair. Since then, I have tried twice to get back into what was once a great game, this being the second. Unfortunately every time I try, all I see is all that has been lost. In my opinion, the simple thing that has killed the game, is that it has become by far too streamlined and easy. It is doomed if it continues.

P.S. Get rid of the comment characters limit.
