EPISODE TWO: Speedcat McNasty

It was last November that I was appointed Secretary of Defense by President Josh Frost. One of my duties was to coordinate with the militias, so I looked up the Commanding Officer of Seal Team 6, Speedcat McNasty, to see what his needs/thoughts might be. I didn’t know much about the guy and had originally wondered if he was a Josh Frost multi, considering his relationship to Josh and the fact he had seemingly come from nowhere to take charge of the Seals. It didn’t take long to figure out that he had risen to success due to his work ethic and his likeable personality. After nearly a year of getting to know him, I can safely say he’s one of the best guys you’ll come across here in eRepublik.

For those of you that haven’t had the privilege of meeting him, I sat down with him this evening and asked him a few questions…

What do you think people should know about Speedcat McNasty?

Oh boy. Official suntan lotion boy for SI swimsuit shoot 2008... ST6 Commanding Officer from October ‘09 until July ‘10... I dunno.. fastest person to ever reach USWP Executive Board Emeritis.. and one cool mofo who hides as much as possible.

So where did the name Speedcat McNasty come from?

Well, Speedcat is just a nick I use in every game I play. McNasty…honestly, I came to eRep from another bug filled football mmo game, GLB. McNasty was the last name of all my players. It seemed like this game needed two names.

How did you manage to come to eRepublik?

Basically Josh Frost brought me into eRep. I knew him for a year or so beforehand and I think he really want to get his Society Builder medal. I was his XO when the SEALs were created and honestly and wouldn't be playing if it weren't for them. I sure as heck wouldn't be sitting here as Chief of Staff without Frosty being my e-Daddy.


Did Josh Frost and Speedcat McNasty have a lovechild?

As former CO of the Seals, you were quite active in helping India reclaim their lands. What do you think of them at the present?

Oh a teaser eh? 🙂

No, never. *wink wink*

I like a lot of individuals that I dealt with that were in the Government back when, like Ashwamedh for example. Great guy, but as a whole their country has made some questionable moves recently. I'm not sure their game now. If they want to be attacked by the big bad United States to get a baby boom or if this is just something blown out of control. Signing their recent MPP's has fairly well sent any good will away in my opinion. Long and short, I find it hard to trust or believe them.


India has accomplished all of their goals and has been presented with this monument.

You also served with our new President in the Seals. Tell us something about him that we may not know.

Hoo boy... lol... He was a sh-tty businessman 🙂 Gave away stuff to any noob that needed help, pay raises to everyone. I doubt he made a penny. Not cause he was bad at the economic side of the game, but just way too nice.

Do you consider yourself a nice guy?

Most of the time, yes. I have a dark side but this is a game, spending time being a hardass to someone else playing a game isn't much fun for anyone.

So, if I were to make a movie about you, who would I cast to play you?

IRL: Matt Damon. In game: Blackface Matt Damon.

You've now served in Congress for some time. One thing that the average citizen doesn't know in regards to Congress is whether or not Congresswoman Claire Littleton is really a female. Can you give us your opinion on this?

Well.. the debate has raged long and hard, like her p_nis. But honestly, I'd guess he's all woman.

You're lucky to have found that. It must've been in between all those 1990 and 1992 Trailblazers championship T-shirts.

I cut because I care and I know you care as well, so what advice would you give to new players just signing up to eRepublik?

New players? Two things…Leave your Real Life ideas outside the game. Get involved with the community. It’s really the saving grace of this place. It’s sad that so much is offsite but I stayed because of the people, not because of the game. Find a niche, stick with it. Be willing to help but don't let people use you up…you will get burned out of the game. Most of all, remember, its just a game. Try to enjoy it 🙂 Guess that’s more than two.
