PEACE Charter Rejected
His Imperial Majesty Kokawayoshi Makoto,
As the Speaker of Congress for the Imperial Diet of Japan, it is my responsibility to inform His Imperial Majesty and the people of Japan about the Diet's recent activities. An especially important development has called for this update.
The Imperial Diet of Japan has rejected the reformed draft of the PEACE Global Community's charter. Our membership as well as the future of the alliance remains in question, and we now await the latest news from the Security Council to see the results of votes in other countries.
The Diet works the will of the people, and this proposed charter was counter to that will. Cited reasons for rejection include the document's assertion of supreme law over the member nations, aggressive powers of the Security Council and overcentralization of power in the person of the Secretary General.
Japanese representation has called for further reform of the charter. We eagerly await a response.

That article is about the old PEACE, which is truly gone. That's why the new charter was drafted.
